In the Name of God Amen
I Mary Morgan of Langattock Lingoed in the County of Monmouth Widow being of perfect memory and understanding do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say first I commend my soul to almighty God who gave it me and my body to the Earth from where it came to be buryed privately at the discretion of my Executor hereafter named and so as to my Estate and Substance I dispose thereof as followeth Imprimo I give and bequeath unto James Morgan Tudor of Langattock Lingoed Esq[uie]r the three several peices of Tapestry which were given me by my late husband Charles Morgan Esq[uie]r deceased and also the six Coverings to the six best Chairs and to his Executors and Administrators in Case I depart this life in my late husbands house at Langattock Lingoed aforesaid now the dwelling house of the said James Morgan Tudor and where I now live and inhabit Item I give and bequeath unto my Neice Judith Edwards now living with me the sume of two hundred pounds of lawfull money to be paid her by my Executors hereafter named at the age of twenty one years or day of Marriage which shall first happen such her marriage to be by and with the Consent and approbation of my brother William Bevan of Trevenny in the parish of Skenfreth in the said County of MOnmouth and it is my will and meaning that the Interest of the said Two hundred pounds from and after one year next after my death be paid yearly to her the said Judith Edwards for her maintenance and Education until the principal sume become due and be paid to her as aforesaid and her receipt to be a sufficient discharge to my Executor for such Interest yearly and it is my will that the Father of her the said Judith Edwards viz.Charles Edwards of Skenfreth shall not have any the direction or management of the said sume of Two hundred pounds and Interest and it is my Will and true intent and meaning That in Case the said Judith Edwards shall happen to dye before the age of twenty one years or day of Marriage by and with the Consent and appro-bation of my said Brother William Bevan as aforesaid that then and in such Case I give and bequeath the said sume of Two Hundred pounds and what Interest as shall be then due for the same unto my brother William Bevan his Executors administrators and assignes for ever Item I give and bequeath unto the said Judith Edwards my ^said^ Neice the Bed Boulster Pillow quilt blanketts two pair of sheets and Bedstead that I now lye upon in my Room or bed Chamber and the best Chest of Drawers on a frame now in the same room and also my Trunk covered with Red Leather in the same Room and the Linnen and Cloth and Curtain Lineing therein and also the large Glass and Dressing Glass Silver Tea spoons strainer and Tongs and other things Mrs. Tudor of London hath bought for me in London upon this Condition that my said Neice Judith Edwards pay Mrs. Tudor what the same Cost and the Carriage thereof my said Neice having received from me money sufficient to pay for the same and I do also give and bequeath unto the said Judith Edwards my Pearl Necklace and my largest Diamond Ring and the Silver Tankard having upon it the Letters L.S. and one silver Caster with my late husbands Crest and four Silver Spoons with the same Crest and also my side sadle Covering thereunto and other furniture belonging to it and all the feathers that are at William Powells of Lanvair and I do also give unto her my said Neice Judith Edwards the new set of China which I have now with Mrs. Jones of Monmouth and I also give her all my Flax and yarn which I now have in several places in my Neighborhood and I ^do^ give unto her the pictures of King William and Queen Mary now in my bedchamber all which several Goods I do hereby direct and it is my Will that my Executor hereinafter named shall immediately after my decease take into his Custody and possession and the same Goods (except the Flax and yarn) carefully preserve and keep for my said Neice in his Custody till she be marryed by and with the Consent of my said brother William Bevan my Executor as aforesaid provided always and my will is and it is my true intent and meaning that in Case my said Neice Judith Edwards shall happen to dye before she shall be marryed as aforesaid whether before or after her attaining the age of twenty one years Then and in such Case I give and bequeath the said several Goods by me to her bequeathed as aforesaid unto my brother and Executor William Bevan his Executors Administrators and Assignes for ever anything in this my Will contained to the contrary notwithstanding Item I give and bequeath unto my Neice Judith Bevan the daughter of my said Brother William Bevan the sume of Two hundred pounds of lawfull money to be paid to her at the age of twenty one years or day of marriage which shall first happen by my said Executor her marriage to be by and with the Consent and approbation of her father my said brother William Bevan and it is my Will that the Interest of the said two hundred pounds be yearly paid and applyed after one year next after my decease for her maintenance and Education at the discretion of her Father the said William Bevan his Executors Administrators or Assignes until the principal sume of two hundred pounds be payable and paid to her as aforesaid and in Case my said Neice Judith Bevan shall happen to dye before the age of twenty one years or day of marriage by and with the Consent of her said Father as aforesaid then I give and bequeath the said sume of two hundred pounds unto the other Child or Children of my said Brother William Bevan share and share alike if more than one Item I give and bequeath unto my said Neice Judith Bevan my smal Diamond Ring to be kept by her Father for till she attains the age aforesaid or marriage as afores[ai]d Item I give and bequeath unto my Nephew Joseph Mills the sume of Thirty pounds and unto my Nephews Charles Mills and William Wills the sume of Fifty pounds apeice to be paid them respectively at their several and respective age of twenty one years and it is my Will that my said Brother William Bevan place out the said sume of thirty pounds and the two Fifty pounds at Interest in his name and the Interest thereof after one year and an half next after my death to be yearly by my said ^Brother^ William Bevan and at his discretion paid and applyed for the Schooling and Clothing of my said Nephews acording to the sumes of money to them respectively given and as the Interest of the same shall be received by my said Brother and until the said Thirty pounds and the said two fifty pounds be payable to them the said Joseph Charles and William Mills as afores[aid] Item I give and bequeath unto my Neice Judith Mills the sume of one hundred and twenty pounds of lawfull money to be paid her by my Executor hereafter named at the age of twenty one years and it is my Will that the said sume of one hundred and twenty pounds be placed at Interest in the name of my Brother William Bevan and the Interest thereof from and after one year and a half next after my decease to be by my said Brother received and by him his Executors or Administrators yearly at his or their discretion paid and applyed towards the maintenance and Education of my said Neice Judith Mills until the said principal sume of one hundred and twenty pounds be due and payable to her as aforesaid Item I give and bequeath unto my Neice Mary Mills the sume of one hundred pounds ^of lawfull money to be made her by my said Executor when she shall attain the age of twenty one years and it is my Will and I do direct that the said sume of one hundred pounds^ be placed out at Interest by my said Brother William Bevan and in his name and the Interest thereof yearly after one year and an half next after my death to be by him at his discretion paid and applyed for the maintenance and Education of my said Neice Mary Mills yearly until the said sume of one hundred pounds be due and payable to her as aforesaid and ^it is^ my Will and true and true intent and meaning that if either of my said Nephews Joseph Mills Charles Mills and William Mills or either of my said Neices Judith Mills and Mary Mills or any or either of them shall happen to dye before his her or their respective Legacys be paid to them respectively as aforesaid then and in such Case I give and bequeath the Legacy and Legacys of such of them so dying unto and amongst his or her surviving brothers and sisters share and share alike Item I give and bequeath unto my sister Anne Mills wife of Thomas Mills the sume of Fifty pounds to be paid her by my said Executor in one year next after my decease Item I give and bequeath unto my Neice Judith Mills one Feather bed and boulster and my smalest Chest of Drawers in the Closet within my bed Chamber and two Silver spoons with the letters E.S. upon them to be kept and preserved for her by my said brother William Bevan till she attains the age of twenty one years or day of her Marriage which shall first happen and then and not before to be delivered to her Item I give and bequeath unto my Mother Judith Bevan the sume of five pounds per annum to be paid her yearly by my Executor here after named during the term of her natural life without any deduction Item I give and bequeath unto Mrs. Jane Lewis the wife of Morgan Lewis Gent our Silver porringer plain without Coat Crest or Letters on it Item I give to Mary the wife of Henry David of Langattock Lingoed the sume of three pounds of Lawfull money to be paid her by my Executors in six months next after my death Item I give unto Charles Powel of Skenfreth the sume of five pounds to be paid him in one year next after my death Item I give and bequeath unto Sarah the wife of Walter Andrew the sume of Forty shillings to be paid her in a year after my death by my Executor Item I give and bequeath unto the poor and impotent people of the parish of Skenfreth the sume of three pounds and to the poor of the parish of Langattock Lingoed the sume of forty shillings to be given them and distributed at the end of Six months next after my death by my Executor and at his discretionItem I give and bequeath unto my Godson Howell Thomas of Bergavenny Grandson of the Reverend Mr. Howell Powell the sume of Five pounds to be paid him in one year next after my death whose Receipt shall be a sufficient discharge to my Executor for the same Item It is my Will that my said Executor his Executors administrators and assignes be paid and reimbursed all Costs and Charges by him expended in the managm[en]t of the Legacys by me given to the said Judith Edwards Joseph Mills Charles Mills William Mills Judith Mills and Mary Mills and in placing their said Legacys at Interest and in receiving the said Interest and ^in^ the application thereof according to this my will and I do direct him to be paid and reimbursed his said Costs and Charges out of the Interest of the said several Sumes of money proportionably by me given to them respectively as aforesaid Item I give and bequeath all my wearing apparrel whatsoever to my sister Anne Mills my Neices Judith Edwards Judith Bevan and Judith Mills to be equally divided between them share and share alike Item I give devise and bequeath all my real Estate whatsoever and wheresoever situate and all the rest and residue of my Goods Cattle Chattles Plate Jewels house-hold Goods bills bonds mortgages ready money notes of hand for money and all other my Personal Estate whatso-ever not herein before by me given and bequeathed unto my brother William Bevan of Trevenny in the said parish of Skenfreth and unto his heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns for ever the better to enable him to pay my debts Legacys and funeral Charges and I do nominate constitute and appoint my said Brother William Bevan sole Executor of this my Will revoking all former Wills by me made In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this tenth day of July in the fifth year of the Reign of his Majesty King George the second and in the year of our Lord God one thousand seven hundred and thirty one  Mary Morgan signed sealed published and delivered by the Test[at]rix Mary Morgan in the presence of us who subscribed our names as witnesses at her request and in her presence these words (maintenance and Education at the discretion of) being first interlined and observed by x ns and also the oblieration Elizabeth Townsend John Price of Bergavenny Glasier James David.

This will was proved at London on the 24th December 1731 by
William Beavan, Executor.
