I David Hopkins of the Parish of Langattock Lingoed in the County of Monmouthshire Gentleman Do Make and Ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following (that is to say) I do Com[m]end my Soul to Almighty God my Maker hoping through the Mercy of Jesus Christ my Saviour to be partaker of life Everlasting As for my Real and personal Estate I dispose thereof as followeth I do Give and bequeath unto to my neice Mrs Mary Taylor the sum of One hundred pounds and to Ann her Sister the sum of One hundred pounds and to my neice in the Law Elizabeth Hopkins widow the like sum of One hundred pounds and to Lesle Towny Morgan the sum of Twenty pounds and to the two sons of the Reverend W. Philip Price the sum of One hundred pounds to each of them when they shall attain to the age of one and Twenty years And I do Give and bequeath all my Real and personal Estates unto my nephew John Hopkins of the City of London druggist and to his heirs for ever And I also Give unto the Children of my nephew Nicholas Hopkinsthe sum of One hundred pounds to be divided between them share and share alike I do hereby Give unto the poor of the parish of Llanvihangell Ystern Lewern the sum of Ten pounds and the sum of Ten pounds to the poor of the parish of Llangattock Lingoed and the like sum of Ten pounds to the poor of the parish of Walterstone in the county of Hereford and my will is that the said sumes of Ten pounds be paid to the poor of the said several parishes within the space of two months next after my Decease And I do hereby constitute and appoint my said nephew John Hopkins sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal the thirty first day of May One thousand seven hundred and sixty nine, the mark of David Hopkins. Signed sealed published and declared by the Testator in the presence of us who have Subscribed our names as Witnesses hereto Sara Morgan the mark of Bethinia Davies John Hughes.

This will was proved at London on the 18th December
1771 by John Hopkins, nephew of the deceased.
