Home Surname List Name Index Sources | Descendants of Joseph P Peddicord of BaltimoreJoseph P. Peddicord's parentage is one of speculation. We can only guess that he was born by ca. 1800. He may be the Joseph Peddicord, carpenter, that is referred to in Dr Warfield's journal entries for the early 1800s in the Howard district of Anne Arundel County, to differentiate him from Joseph H. Peddicord. The family seems to have a definite connection to the Baltimore area. Other than his marriage license and divorce , there are scant records on Joseph. His wife appears to have lived in Baltimore City in the 1830s and is listed in the city directories. she is living in DC after ca 1840 and was a millner by trade. It would appear from the dates in the records that the younger daughter, Alice Anne, was born several years after her parents divorced and her father died
