The Pointe de l'Eglise:  Acadia Genealogical and Historical Society, Inc., in cooperation with the Acadia Parish Public Library, is working to make available more historical information on Acadia Parish and its inhabitants.  An important resource is the funeral records of the various funeral homes in the parish.  So far, the following funeral homes have given us permission to abstract information from their records:

3. Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home, Crowley, LA
   
4. Duhon Funeral Home
   
   

Books from these abstracted records have been produced and copies have been donated to the Acadia Parish Library for use in the reference library.  Copies are also available for sale to the public.  For price and availability please refer to the order form found elsewhere on this site.
