W.C. Pete Lavergne, a native of St. Landry Parish, Sunset, La is presently residing in Lafayette, La. He got interested in genealogy from a cousin now deceased. He works on Lavergne and Bourque on the paternal side and Robin and Quebedeau or Quebedeauxx on the maternal side.

The Lavergnes migrated to New Orleans from France. The Bourque could have come from Nova Scotia, as this side has the least information. The Robins came from France as Joseph Pascal Robin was born abt. 1735 and also died in France. The Quebedeau were here in the U.S. since 1845 as a great grandfather, Joseph Demosthenes Quebedeau was born in 1845 & died in 1903. There has not been any information to say that they came from Nova Scotia.
