Oretta Cemetery
Oretta is located between Singer and De Quincy, LA, not very
far off LA 27. Turn west near the Oretta fire station on Broadway Road. Follow
the pavement to a stop sign on Hargrove Road. Turn right (north). The cemetery
is on the
right about 1/2 mile on this road.
Just before you get to the cemetery, if you are watching for it, you can see one grave in the corner of yard. The story that was told to us was: When ___ LORENZE died and they went to dig the grave, they were told this would be in the cemetery. As you can see, the cemetery property was farther down the road.
