This book was originally written by my (Jerri Conrad) g.grandfather in 1911 and published in 1914. It is a story of the life and adventures of the author. He has an indepth description of events during the struggles of the Civil War. During the time span he tells many events that happen in the Breathitt, Perry, and Wolfe Co., Kentucky areas. Dates for births, marriages and deaths of family members, and friends are told throughout the book. This is a wonderful book of genealogists as a guide to what he remembers during this time.
I have re-printed the book, using all the original formatting and page numbers for those that have an original book and want to check on pages.
An original book is nearly impossible to obtain, and this re-print will make a wonderful addition to any person related in any way to the families of this region.
