Wacky Kentucky Laws

 - In Kentucky, a man may not marry his wife's grandmother. 

- Sleeping on the floor of the Kentucky State House is prohibited. 

- According to Kentucky law, " burglary can only be committed in the night-time ".

 - In Owensboro, Kentucky, if a woman wants to but a new hat, her husband must try 

it on first. 

- In Lexington, Kentucky, you are forbidden to carry ice cream cones in your pocket.

- In Kentucky, there is a law against sleeping in a restaurant. 

- In Kentucky, a wife must have her husband's permission to move the furniture 

in her house. 

- In Kentucky, you may not shoot clay pigeons during the breeding season. 

- A Kentucky statue reads: " No female shall appear in a bathing suit on any highway 

within this state unless she is escorted by at least two officers or unless she be armed 

with a club. " 

- A subsequent amendment to the original statue reads: " The provisions of this statue 

shall not apply to females weighing less than 90 pounds nor exceeding 200 pounds; nor 

shall it apply to female horses."
