Mrs. Mary Ann MIEDREICH, 93, mother of Charles J. Miedreich, former Providence mayor, died at 8:30 a.m. Friday at her home in
Evansville. She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, the Ladies of Charity and Legion of Mary, and was well-known as a
Catholic charity organizations worker. She was the widow of the late George Miedreich, cigar maker, who died in 1898. Surviving
besides the son, Charles, of Providence, are another son, Oscar H., of Evansville, nieces and nephews. Funeral was held at 7:30
a.m. Monday at Ziemer Funeral Home in Evansville, continued at 8 a.m. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, with the Rev. Fred
NIEHAUS officiating. Burial was in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Evansville. Providence Journal-Enterprise, Thursday, December 23, 1954.
Funeral services for David C. MILLER, 75, who died last Thursday at 5:30 a.m. at his home near Wheatcroft were held Saturday
afternoon at 2 o'clock at Rock Springs church, of which he was a member. The Rev. E.G. SISK officiated and burial was in Odd
Fellows cemetery, Morganfield. Pallbearers were W.T. OMER, Fred CAPPS, Irvin D. HINTON, jr., L.S. BOTTS, Fred BEABOUT,
and Everett COWAN. Mr. Miller had been ill for two weeks of a heart ailment. He was born in Adair county and moved to
Morganfield where he lived until he moved to Webster county about 20 years ago. He had always been engaged in farming.
Survivors are the wife, Kizzie, four sons and four daughters by his first marriage, Herman Miller, Sturgis, Jim Miller of
Providence, George Miller of Clay, Bryan Miller of Madisonville, Mrs. Joe McINTYRE of Evansville, Mrs. Alva RICH of Clay,
Mrs. John DAUGHERTY of Henderson, and Mrs. Della McKELLEY of Illinois; two daughters by his last marriage, Mrs. Gordon
VAN HOOSER and Miss Virginia Earl Miller, both of Detroit, Mich.; one stepson, Frank CATON of Detroit; two brothers, Sam and
Hiram Miller, Morganfield, two sisters, Mrs. Addie HINTON, Sullivan, and Mrs. Fannie MOFFAT, Morganfield; several grandchildren

Friends here have learned of the death in a Louisville hospital of the Rev. Ernest MILLER, pastor for several years of the First
Baptist church in Sturgis. The Rev. Miller had spoken here, and was widely known in this section. Funeral and burial took place

George MILLER, 49, of Clay, died at 10 p.m. Tuesday in a Nashville hospital following two years' illness. Surviving are the wife, Ruby; a daughter, Mrs. Mitchell KNIGHT, Clay; a son, Jimmie Miller, U.S. Army, stationed in Georgia; stepmother, Mrs. Kizzie Miller, Detroit; three sisters, Mrs. Alva RICH of Clay, Mrs. Delphia McINTYRE of Evansville, and Mrs. Nell LAMB of Madisonville; three brothers, Bryan Miller and Jim Miller of Providence, and Herman Miller, Sturgis; two half-sisters, Mrs. Gordon VANHOOSER, Detroit, and Mrs. Earl LATMAR of Germany; and one granddaughter. He was a member of the General Baptist Church. The body was brought Wednesday to Franklin and Edwards Funeral Home in Clay. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.

Mrs. Jennie FREDERICK MILLER, 73, died at 8:50 a.m. Thursday at her home in Dixon following a long illness. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. J.H. VILLINES of Dixon, Mrs. E.F. BEDNAR and Mrs. Catherine Villines of Chicago, and Mrs. Jimmy BARROW of Sun Valley, Calif.; three sons, Justice of Santa Monica, Calif., Alton of Chicago, and Frank Miller of Dixon; two sisters, Mrs. Nora MITCHELL and Mrs. Laura COLE of Detroit; a brother, William Frederick of Providence; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Star Hope Church, with the Rev. W.W. OAKLEY and the Rev. Oscar DUNCAN officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Mrs. Mary DORRIS MILLER, 58, died June 20 at her home in Indianapolis, Ind. She was a daughter of Douglas and Melinda Dorris of Providence. Surviving are the husband, Vern Miller; four daughters, Mrs. Volney MORSE, Mrs. Beatrice SCOTT, Mrs. Cleon SHIRLEY, and Mrs. Ruth TYNE; two sons, James and Harold Miller; sisters, Mrs. Delmar HARVEY of Indianapolis, Mrs. Enoch HERRIN and Mrs. Cliff ROBINSON of Providence; and brothers, Vester and Walter Dorris of Providence and Thomas Dorris of Hammond, Ind. She was a member of the Christian Church in Indianapolis. Funeral services were held at an Indianapolis funeral home and burial was in Washington Memorial Park cemetery there.

William Thomas MILLER, of Foreman, Ark., who formerly lived near Dixon, died at 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 30, according to word received by his sister, Mrs. T.M. TOWNSEND, near Providence. Had he lived until Sept. 12 he would have been 80 years of age. He was the oldest son of the late Z.T. and Macy LISMAN Miller. He united with the Cumberland Presbyterian church at Lisman at an early age, and on moving to Arkansas 30 years ago became affiliated with the church there. Surviving are his wife, Emma HART Miller; one daughter, Macy; two sons, Selwyn, of Ft. Smith, Ark., and Hoyt, at home; two sisters, Mrs. Mary WRIGHT, San Antonio, Tex., and Mrs. Townsend; and two brothers, Demaree Miller, Dixon, and Huron Miller, Arkinda, Ark. Funeral was at 3 p.m. on Aug. 31, with the Rev. ROSE officiating, and burial was in Camp Ground cemetery.

Funeral services for Z.T. (Pete) MILLER, 38, formerly of Dixon and Providence, were held at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Star Hope church, Webster county. The Rev. W.W. OAKLEY officiated and burial was in the family lot in the church cemetery. Mr. Miller died in Chicago Friday after a short illness. Survivors are the wife, Marie; parents, Mr. and Mrs. L.D. Miller, Dixon; three brothers, Frank of Dixon; Justice of Santa Monica, Calif., and Alton Miller, of Chicago, Ill.; four sisters, Mrs. Jimmie BARROWS, North Hollywood, Calif., Mrs. Jimmie VILLINES, of Dixon, Mrs. Tamma HARPER and Mrs. Catherine Villines, of Chicago.

Funeral services for Cornelius L. MILLS, 77, who died Sunday afternoon in his home in Newcastle, Ind., were held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in Tapp Funeral Home in Providence. The Rev. Benjamin CONNAWAY officiated and burial was in I.O.O.F. cemetery in Madisonville. Survivors are four half-sisters, Mrs. W.J. NISBET, Providence, Mrs. Stafford PHILLIPS and Miss Pearl Mills of Madisonville, and Mrs. Erwin F. AUSTIN, Seneca Falls, N.Y.; and a half-brother, Will T. Mills, Louisville. Pallbearers were C.J. Mrs. Sarah Jane MINOR, 89, died at 3:15 a.m. Saturday in the home of
her daughter, Mrs. Boyd BUSBY, near Sebree. Surviving are six
daughters, Mrs. Busby, Mrs. Mollie CALLIS, and Miss Ella Minor, of
Sebree, Mrs. M.M. WILLIAMS, of Richmond, Mich., Mrs. Julia BAKER,
Houston, Tex., and Mrs. C.L. CROWLEY of Poole; three sons, Guy, of
Detroit, Mich., J.L., of Sebree, and J.Y. Minor, of Robards;
thirty-one grandchildren and thirty great-grandchildren. Funeral
services were held at 11 a.m. Monday in Poole General Baptist church,
with the Rev. E.P. DEACON of Sebree officiating. Burial was in Shady

Mrs. Necie MINSTER, 108 E. Delaware Street, Evansville, formerly of Providence, died Tuesday of last week in Deaconess Hospital of pneumonia. Survivors are a son, Eugene BURTON, Owensboro; daughters, Miss Bernie Burton and Mrs. Glaydas SULLENS, Evansville; and Mrs. Beulah McKEEHAN, Rockport; five grandchildren; and one brother, the Rev. Edd OAKLEY, Providence. Funeral services were held Friday in Grace Baptist Church in Evansville with the Rev. Wallace DORRIS officiating. Burial was in Locust Hill Cemetery, Evansville. C.E. MITCHELL, 79, died at 9 p.m. Thursday at his home near Dixon following a long illness. Survivors are the wife, Dora; a daughter, Mrs. Roy McCLAIN, near Dixon; a son, Smith Mitchell, near Dixon; one granddaughter, Mrs. Herman BROOKS of Evansville; and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the home of the son, with the Rev. Amos JACKSON of Madisonville officiating. Burial was in I.O.O.F. cemetery, Clay.

Charlie A. MITCHELL, 65, a retired farmer, died June 26 at his home on Coleman avenue in Providence. Survivors are the wife, Zora; one son, Raymond of Evansville; a sister, Mrs. Becky Lee WINSTEAD of Dixon; nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. June 28 at Vandersburg church, with the Rev. E.G. SISK officiating, assisted by the Rev. Claud THRELKELD. Burial was in Townsend cemetery.

David Brent MITCHELL, ten-day-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Willard Mitchell, died September 15 in San Diego, Calif. Mrs. Mitchell, who developed polio the day after the baby's birth, is still in serious condition. They have another son, Tony. Mr. Mitchell formerly lived in Providence. His father was the late Taylor Mitchell. His mother, Mrs. R.V. HAZELIP and Mr. Hazelip, of Evansville, have gone to San Diego.

James Taylor MITCHELL, 72, Providence, died at 11:20 p.m. Sunday in an Evansville hospital where he had been a patient for a week. He had been ill for several months and underwent an operation Tuesday of last week. A retired farmer, he was born in Webster county and was married March 21, 1900 to Miss Ira Gibbs STUART. For several years he was a deacon in Green Grove Baptist church. Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Barrett McGAW, Providence, with whom he had made his home since his wife's death two years ago; two sons, Woodrow of Madisonville and Stuart Mitchell of Evansville; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Green Grove church, with the Rev. W.E. SIRIA of Madisonville officiating, assisted by the Rev. E.G. SISK of Dixon. Pallbearers were Eulon SIGLER, Ben HOLT, Jim HOWARD, C.C. PHELPS, Iley DUNCAN, and Ruby TEAGUE. Burial was in Lakeview cemetery.

Lora A. MITCHELL, 73, retired farmer, formerly of Providence, died at his home in Madisonville Saturday night following an illness of
six weeks. Surviving are the wife, Irene; a daughter, Mrs. L.E. JACKSON, Paducah; two sons, Eugene and Clyde Mitchell of
Evansville; two brothers, W.T. Mitchell of Paducah, J.T. Mitchell, Providence; a sister, Mrs. Ida TOWE of Lisman; four grandchildren,
and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the home Monday afternoon, the Rev. E.G. SISK of Dixon officiating.
Burial was in I.O.O.F. cemetery, Madisonville. Providence Journal-Enterprise, Wednesday, August 8, 1945.
Mrs. Marie MITCHELL, 39, former Providence resident, died at 4 a.m. Tuesday at her home in Arvada, Colo., relatives here have been informed. Her husband, Vance Mitchell, died four years ago. She is survived by a son, Tommy; her mother, Mrs. Pearl THOMAS; three sisters, and two brothers, all of Arvada. The body is at Alberts Funeral Home in Arvada, and funeral and burial will be there Friday.

Mrs. Nannie MITCHELL, 36, wife of Raymond Mitchell, died at 2 a.m. Wednesday in her home on St. Bernard street following an illness of pneumonia. Survivors are the husband and one brother, Otho LINK, Dixon. Funeral services will be at 1:30 Friday afternoon in Vandersburg church, with the Rev. E.G. SISK of Diamond officiating. Burial will be in Townsend cemetery.

Truman MITCHELL, 72, was found dead at his home near Clay about 7:30 Friday morning. Mr. Mitchell, who lived alone, was last seen by Mrs. G.H. Mitchell and Gordon Mitchell Tuesday afternoon. A neighbor, Mrs. Morris McCORMICK, remembering Friday morning that she had not seen Mr. Mitchell for a few days, went to his home and called him. When he failed to answer her she called Hammock SHIELDS, another neighbor, and, on entering the house, found him dead. J.C. BLACKBURN, coroner, held an inquest and decided he had died of a heart attack Tuesday night. Surviviors are two half brothers, Virgil Mitchell, near Clay, and Willie Mitchell of San Mateo, Calif., three half sisters, Mrs. Ed HICKS of Evansville, Mrs. Charles McKNIGHT of Nashville and Mrs. George SHELTON of Clay. A short funeral service was conducted at the grave at 3 o'clock Friday afternoon with the Rev. E.L. GRANT officiating. Burial was in the I.O.O.F. cemetery in Clay.
