Died: ?

(Andrew abandoned wife March, 1844 and was never heard of thereafter although two of his friends report they received letter from him from Tennessee. Family legend has it that he was murdered by his father-in-law.)

Died: March 13, 1897 (buried in Morgan Cemetery, old section, no stone showing, location unknown) Nancy's second marriage Thomas W. Lowe, 3-29-1863 (buried in the back yard of the Hardin House, Morgan Four Oaks Rd., stone exists laying in a pile of stones. (no children)

Died: May 11, 1861 Buried on Dance Farm. Exact location is unknown. His wife is buried there as well. See below.

Died: May 11, 1857 of Pleurisy (Buried at Dance-Newman Cemetery, headstone exist but exact burial location unknown.)

John William Hume (ran a saloon and dance hall at Callensville, Ky.)

He had a mill on Fork Lick and a distillery on Dry Branch near Callensville, Ky.
Married: Frances A. Makemson January 21, 1839
Born: October 2, 1819 (Harrison County, Ky.)
Died: (Buried Morgan Cemetery, old section, no headstone, location unknown.
Member of Morgan Christian Church.
(Martha's Great-grandfather was Sgt. John Hand, Revolutionary war veteran, Virginia Line. John's stone home was located on the site of Morgan Cemetery. He also received a war pension in the amount of $120.)
Born: April 4, 1751
Died: January 8, 1833 (Buried Morgan Cemetery, Ky, along with his wife, Jane Angell, born February 25, 1766 and died July 23, 1849. Both are buried in old section, exact location unknown, John’s original stone was found buried; and using this location a new military stone was set in 2009. Jane’s stone was reset next to John’s, it had leaned against an old cedar tree for years.


Martha’s Grandparents were Andrew and Elizabeth Makemson (nee Hand) died of cholera in 1833 in Harrison County, KY.  Elizabeth’s brother, Jim Hand, raised  Frances Makemson (Age 14) and her brothers and sisters.  Thomas Makemson (Age 19) John Makemson (Age 16) America Makemson (Age 11) William Makemson (Age 9) Bethsheba Makemson (Age 7) and Elizabeth Ellen Makemson (Age 5). Jim Hand never married. He was born February 1, 1801 and died April 21, 1885. He is buried in the middle of a ridge on his old farm marked by a stone.  This is currently know as the Bee Jimmy Moore farm located on Gumlick Rd near Morgan, KY.

Allie Hume Newman
Born: January 10, 1872 Pendleton County, Ky. (Manager, builder, beekeeper and US government services during WW II.)
Died: January 20, 1958 (Buried Morgan Cemetery, no headstone, burial location unknown.

Died: July 5, 1890 of TB (Buried at Morgan Cemetery, old section, no headstone, burial location unknown.) Buried next to her grandmother, Martha Newman.

Hendrix Hume Newman (barber, farmer, Maintenance & Janitor at Morgan School, State Highway garage watchman.
Born: June 28, 1877 at Bason Springs between Falmouth and Morgan, Ky.)
Died: January 26, 1960 of accidental field fire, possible heart attack. He had a history of heart trouble. (Buried at Riverside Cemetery, Falmouth, Ky., marked by headstone)

Born: 1858 Bracken County, Ky.
Died: 1932 (Buried Riverside Cemetery, Falmouth, Ky., Marked by headstone.)
Bessie's grandfather, Squire Mann, ran a mill in Milford, Ky. He died March 16, 1878. Buried in Drift Run Cemetery on Gigson Rd., Bracken County, Ky. Headstone at gravesite but laying on ground.

Born: August 23, 1910 Morgan, Ky.
Died: June 29, 1974 (buried at Riverside Cemetery, Falmouth, Ky., marked by headstone.) Died of complications of diabetes and heart. 
He was a Farmer.
First Marriage: Mabel Munson (divorced and later married McMillan)

Harold's second Marriage: Lexie Jane Cummins, September 28, 1940 at Millersburg, Ky.
Born: July 21, 1913
Died: May 1, 1972 (apparent suicide of gunshot wound. Buried at Riverside Cemetery, Falmouth, Ky., marked by headstone.
Lexie's parents Elmer Cummins and Elizabeth Thomas were from Lenoxburg, Bracken County, Ky.
