Educational Division 6.
Educational Division 6 consists of five schools.
The Chairman of this division is Dr. N. H. Ellis, who is also trustee of the Goforth school.
Hog Ridge, Ed. 6. Sib. 1.
Hogridge school is in the western part of the County. The teacher is Miss Edna Loomis. The trustee is C. D. Ashcraft. The boundary is that made by Supt. H. S. Orr, 1901:
Beginning at Bud Dailey's'; thence to J. R. Trakes; thence to W. T. Payne's farm (now occupied by Wm. Trakes), excluding the Bowers place now owned by James Mann; thence to Robt. W. Fornash's, H. T. Clinger's, J. R. Lathimore's, Wm. Myer (Think this one could be Mire), widow Colvin's, Hughey Wright's, Jno. Anderson's, excluding Jas. Mullins; thence to Grassy Creek and with said Creek to the boundary of Roundtop District; thence to the beginning.
The record shows that Chas. Hanson and family were transferred to Grant County, April 1914.
The census of 1914 reports 32 pupils from families as follows:

The Locust Grove school is near Doudton. The teacher is Miss Emma Harris. The trustee is J. R. Carr. The boundary of 1901 follows:
Beginning at H. J. Poor's, excluding him; thence to the County line to ___Jenkins house; thence to Robt. Kells, excluding him; thence to Nealy Wells?; thence to Simon Jones; thence to Ben Potter; thence to Wm. Race; thence to Robt. Stanford, and across the pike so as to include Mary Mar___; thence to the beginning.

The Short Creek school is located on the pike leading from Falmouth to Williamstown. The teacher is Miss Corinne Lowe of Morgan. The trustee is D. N. H. Ellis.
Beginning at Otis Lafollett's, on Brush fork of Grassy Creek thence in a straingt line to Ashcraft's, including him; thence to J. M. Childs and _ _ Arnold, including them; thence in a straight line to Jas. Flynn's ______ on Short Creek; thence down said Creek to Ben Thompson, including him; thence to Philip Conroy and J. W. Ballinger, including them; thence to R. F. Ballinger's tenant house, including it; thence in a straight line to J. M. Ballinger's tenant house (in territory) including it; thence to the beginning.

Boundary: Beginning at George Wells; thence to Little Fork Lick, including N. B. Lowe's and John Donahue's, including his tenant houses; thence to where the old B. F. Hume house was burned; thence down to Short Creek, including the old home of Pat Conroy; thence across and with the south side of the Creek to the old Eggleston place; thence to Atwell Day's, so as to include Thomas Sutton's tenant house now occupied by Frank Vice, and Jack Brand's tenant house; thence to the beginning.

In 1902 the old Pat Conroy place was transferred from this district, in 1908 Frank P. Vice was included in this district by Supt. R. F. Ballinger.

The Lovelace school is situated on the Straight Shute pike. The teacher is Barney Ashcraft. The trustee is Henry Dahms. The boundary following is that given by the trustee, 1914.
Beginning at Grassy Creek; thence across to W. C. Stevenson's; thence to Charles Marquardt place, (now Conrad place); crossing the pike; for the pike at Cole Lovelace's; thence up the pike to the dirt road at Mary Lovelace's; thence down the dirt road to Grassy Creek.
