Cemetery, Carrollton, KY.

Attended
Murray State University, Murray, KY until Pearl Harbor was bombed by the
Japanese. He joined the Navy at that time and became a Radioman/gunner 3rd class
on the USS Bunkerhill. He was a member of the "Helldiver Squadron" in
the south pacific. A book was written in 1947 about the exploits of this group
of servicemen. He received an honorable discharge.
Kermit
and Kenzie were named after two sons of Franklin Delano Roosevelt.
