Article of Agreement This is transcribed from an original document written by William Powell Henry

July 1st 1884
"An Article of Agreement between W.P. Henry and Trustees of School
District No. 21 in Morgan Co., KY.  W.P. Henry binds himself to teach a
common school in the above named district (consisting of 5 months - 100 days).  
To teach Spelling, Reading, Writing, Arithmetic, Geography, English, Grammar
and History.  To keep good moral order and be governed by the Advice and
Controle of the Trustees.

We the undersigned trustess bind ourselves to furnish said teacher a good comfortable school house and other necessary (appartinances thereto). To furnish fuel, brooms and water for the cumfort and convenience of Teacher & Pupils. The teacher will make or cause to be made the fires, the house to be regularly swept and water to be carried.

We agree to pay said teacher the Amit, of Public money due saidd district for the school year ending June the 30th 1885."
