The newest addition to our
village! The Wireman log home in our Pioneer Village
is finished and ready for your visit. We owe much Thanks to Randall Risner, Hager Jack Sizemore and
Henry Clay Sizemore. Throughout the process we also had the help of
Toddie Preston, the carpentry shop students and teacher at the Magoffin
County Vocational School, as well as James Wallen and Bob Kugel.
We send our highest
regard to Albert Wireman who donated the cabin to the Pioneer Village
and helped take down and load the logs so they could be transported to
their present location. We also want to extend our great appreciation to
our good friend A. B. Conley for donating the wood for the flooring. Last,
and certainly not least, thanks to Willie and Nellie
Montgomery for spending a day working very hard to help with this
reconstruction. We're very grateful to all who took time from
their busy schedules to help out!
We worked very hard to get
this cabin ready for our 2009 Magoffin County Founders Days (honoring
THE MANNS CLAN), and - we made it just in time!
