Larkin Dyer probably
built the Dyer cabin. This home was situated at the head of Spruce Pine
Fork of the right hand fork of Middle Fork here in Magoffin County.
Lark's grandson took the cabin down and stored it in his backyard, with
the intention of rebuilding it, but after about eight years, he donated it
to the Pioneer Village. This little cabin has been designated a Civil War
display room and is furnished by the Sons of the Confederate Veterans
(SCV). Also displayed are two chainsaw sculptures, one a confederate
soldier, and one union soldier, made by Douglas Shepherd.
