Civil War Discovery Trail

With economic ties to the free and neighboring North, and cultural ties to the slave-holding South, our picturesque town on the Ohio River was naturally divided throughout the Civil War.  A permanent exhibit, approximately 450 books in addition to two copies of the official records of the armies of the North and South, original documents, and a film offer a significant glimpse of the region's Civil War heritage.
