WAYNESBURG - Services for Wyler Margaret Alford, 76, of Waynesburg, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Double Springs Baptist Church by the Rev. Brad King. Burial will be in Double Springs Cemetery. She died Wednesday at St. Joseph Hospital.

Born July 16, 1927, in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Christian and Matilda Lademan Wyler. She was an employee of American Greetings Co. and Waynesburg Grocery, and a member of Double Springs Baptist Church where she has been secretary and treasurer, Order of Eastern Star and Senior Citizens.

Survivors include her husband, J.W. Alford; three sons, William C. Alford of Lexington, James L. and Robert C. Alford, both of Waynesburg; a brother, Rudolph "Bud" Wyler of Stanford; four sisters, Ida Gover, Elizabeth Cooper and Rose Carrier, all of Stanford, and Carolyn Helton of Fort Myers, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Christopher and Bryson Alford, Joey Police, Eric Wooldridge, Julian Wall and Jeff Sims.Visitation is 6-9 p.m. Friday at the church with an Eastern Star service at 7 p.m.Memorials may go to Heritage Hospice or Double Springs Baptist Church. William K. (Bill) Ball , 79, of St. James City died Saturday at his residence. He was born in Lincoln County, KY and moved here in 1957 coming from Cincinnati. A member of Pine Island United Methodist Church. Bill was well known on Pine Island as the Post Master at Bokeelia for 20 years. He was a Past Master of Cape Coral F & AM and was a member of the O.E.S. White Shrine and the Araba Temple. He was a Marine Corps veteran of WWII serving in Saipan.

Survivors include his wife, Mariann of St. James City; sons, Russell (Lynn) and Ronald (Michelle) and 5 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Wanda, in 1994.

Funeral services with Masonic honors will be conducted Tuesday, March 29, 2005 at 9:30 AM in the chapel of the chapel of Coral Ridge Funeral Home with burial to follow in Coral Ridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hope Hospice.

Valinda Evelyn McBeath Bell, 94, of Danville, died Saturday at Charleston Health Care Center.

Born Aug. 19, 1909, in Hedgeville, she was the daughter of the late Harvey F. and Emma Jones McBeath. She was a homemaker and owned a farm in Hubble. She was a 1928 graduate of Danville High School and had been the oldest living alumnus. She attended Kentucky College for Women and was a member and past Regent of the St. Asaph Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution. She also was a member of the Daughters of 1812 and Society of Boonesborough. She was a lifetime member of McKendree Methodist Church where she had been a Sunday school teacher and held several administration positions.

Survivors include two daughters, Mary Evelyn Bell Ensslin of Danville and Emily McBeath Bell Sanders of Louisville; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Private services will be Tuesday in Buffalo Springs Cemetery by the Rev. Larry Cochran. There will be no visitation. Memorials may go to Heritage Hospice or charity of choice. Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

STANFORD - Graveside services for James D. Bennett III, 72, of Church Street, Danville, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at K.P. Hall Cemetery by Chuck May.

Born Aug. 6, 1931, in Lincoln County, he was the son of the late James D. and Sadie R. Phelps Bennett. He was a pipeliner. Survivors include his companion, Janice McElroy of Danville; and caregivers, Chuck and Robin May, both of Stanford. Barnett & Demrow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

STANFORD - Services for Thomas Ray Bolin, 63, of Stanford, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Fox Funeral Home. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery. He died Sunday at Fort Logan Hospital.

Born Jan. 9, 1940, in Garrard County, he was the son of the late Luther and Ollie Mary Lair Bolin. He was a farmer. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn J. Cox Bolin; a son, Dan Bolin of Stanford; two daughters, Pam McMullen of Stanford and Tammy Bolin of Parksville; a brother, Ralph Bolin of St. Louis, Mo.; four sisters, Betty Dean of Lancaster, Edna M. Miller of Danville, Edith Lane of Nicholasville, and Patricia Bolin of Oklahoma; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Katherine Yocum. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Lane, Robby Dean, Mike Bolin, Ronnie Cox, Bryan Walls and Johnny Satterly. CRAB ORCHARD - Margaret Dillion Bordese, 96, of Main Street died Saturday at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.

Born June 15, 1907, in Stanford, she was the daughter of the late William R. and Margaret E. Tucker Dillion. She was the widow of Jack Rutledge and Vic Bordese. She was a member of Hebron United Methodist Church and a retired employee of General Electric. Survivors include nephews, including Paul Dillion and Charles R. Dillion, both of Crab Orchard. Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at McKnight Funeral Home Chapel by Kurt Spond. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Chris Mingo, Eric Wooldridge, George Pleasants, Jay Smith, Tim Layton and Jim Gover. Honorary pallbearers are Harold and Frances Layton, Lea Wooldridge, Helen Pleasants, Gracie Gilbert, Mattie Gover and Elizabeth Dishon.

STANFORD - Jesse Welby Bourne, 79, of Redwood Drive, died Sunday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Born Dec. 26, 1923, in Lincoln County, he was the son of the late Alonzo and Lucy Jane Pollard Bourne. He was a retired employee of Standard Oil and Chevron Bulk Plant. He was a member of Stanford Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Ovalee Greene Bourne; a son, Tommy Bourne of Stanford; a sister, Joyce Saunders of Lancaster; a grandson; and a great-grandson. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Fox Funeral Home by the Rev. Max Hester. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery. MORELAND - Services for Estes Ray Brown, 79, of Danville will be 1 a.m. Saturday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home by the Rev. Norris McCawley. Burial will be in Hustonville Cemetery.

Born Aug. 2, 1924, in Russell Springs, he was the son of the late George W. and Alice Franklin Brown. He was retired from Boyle Masonry and was a jockey. He was a member of Maxey Valley Church of God, American Jockey Association and Kentucky Jockey Association. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Lexington.

Survivors include a daughter, Tammy Brown of Stanford; a stepson, Gary Whitis of Casey County; two stepdaughters, Linda Whitis Bugg of Junction City and Sharon Whitis of Harrodsburg; a brother, Ezra Brown of Pine Knot; three sisters, Edna Russell of Indianapolis and Lorane Sapp and Irene Simpson, both of Lexington; five stepgrandchildren; and a step great-granddaughter.

WAYNESBURG - Services for Wayne G. Calhoun, 66, of Marion, Ill., formerly of Waynesburg, will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Barnett & Demrow Funeral Home by the Rev. Vola Brown. Burial will be in Olive Cemetery with military rites by Caswell Saufley Post 18, American Legion. He died Monday at Fort Logan Hospital.

Born Dec. 17, 1936, in Bluefield, W.Va., he was a son of the late Otey and Grace Barger Calhoun. He was a retired surveyor with Cecil Harp Engineering Co. in Lexington and a Navy veteran. He attended Campbellsville University Eastern Kentucky University and gunsmithing school in Denver Colo. As a child he was named Florida's state marble shooting champion. Survivors include a sister, Phyllis Smallwood of Waynesburg; and two brothers, Vernon Calhoun of Williamsburg, and Cline Calhoun of Lexington. Pallbearers will be John Moore, Cleo Slone, Jack Calhoun, James Calhoun, Billy and Adam Smallwood. Visitation will be noon-2 p.m. Thursday.

WAYNESBURG - Services for Ashley Lynn Cason, 22, of Lexington, will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Barnett & Demrow Funeral Home by Reggie Tipton. Burial will be in Double Springs Cemetery. She died Tuesday in Lexington.

Born May 1, 1982, in Lexington, she was the daughter of Franklin L. Cason and Pamela Relford Williams, both of Lexington. She was a customer service representative for Dairy Mart.Other survivors include four brothers, Michael P. Cason, Gregory S. Cason, Timothy A. Cason and Quintin L. Borders, all of Lexington; three sisters, Angelique N. Cason, Regina L. Meadows and Stephanie M. MOORESVILLE, Ind. - Nancy P. Cochran, 70, of Mooresville died Aug. 25 at her home.

Born Feb. 20, 1933, in Ellisburg, she was the daughter of the late W.W. and Alma Reed Beeler. She was a homemaker and a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Greenwood, Ind.

Survivors include her husband, Lewis H. Cochran; three daughters, Pauletta Hayes of Camby, Ind., Melodie Cochran of Greenwood and Alma Baldwin of Monrovia, Ind.; four brothers, Joseph W. Beeler of Liberty, James O. Beeler of Hustonville, David Beeler of Mooresville, Ind., and Jacob Beeler of Bradfordsville; three sisters, Virginia Price of Moreland, Elizabeth Lewis of Bradfordsville and Alice Beeler of Hustonville; and four grandchildren.

Services were Friday at Rocky Ford Baptist Church in Hustonville. Burial was in Hustonville Cemetery.

MORELAND - Beatrice Hatter Coffman, 83, of Geneva, died Wednesday at Fort Logan Hospital.

Born March 6, 1920, in Casey County, she was the daughter of the late Ollie Hatter and Lillie Pittman Hatter Austin, and the stepdaughter of Sid Austin. She was a retired employee of Liberty Sportswear, a homemaker and a member of Geneva Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Dewey Coffman; a son, Lowell Coffman of Geneva; six daughters, Jewell Lynn, Shirley Poynter, Patricia Cummins and Anita Bowman, all of Geneva, Phyllis Long of Hustonville, and Jereline Bailey of Danville; a sister, Sherry House of Las Vegas; 15 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Geneva Baptist Church by the Rev. Mike Hatter. Burial will be in Hustonville Cemetery. Born March 25, 1909, in Lincoln County, he was the son of the late Matt and Ida Simpson Coffman. He was a retired steel mill worker and a member of Mitchellsburg Church of God.

Survivors include his wife, Maxine Ellen Burtram Coffman; two daughters, Louise Coffman of Perryville and Evelyn Moore of Mitchellsburg; a son, Bobby Coffman of Stanford; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by five children. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mitchellsburg Church of God by the Rev. Larry Moore. Burial will be in Parksville Cemetery. Born Jan. 9, 1928, in Letcher County, she was the daughter of the late John D. and Lou Cinda Cornett. She was an employee of Palm Beach. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Lumberton, Texas. Survivors include a son, Butch Rousey of Lumberton; three daughters, Bonnie Rousey, Beckie Rousey and Linda Carter, all of Lumberton; three brothers, Arvil Cornett of Lakeland, Fla., Arvin Cornett of Chapel Hill, N.C., and Chester Cornett of Cloverdale, Ind.; two sisters, Rose Miller of Glenmont, Ohio, and Jean Mundey of Zephyr Hills, Fla.; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

STANFORD - James Rice Crawford, 70, of Whitley Avenue, died Sunday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Born May 3, 1934, in Lincoln County, he was the son of James T. and Josephine Rice Crawford. He was a retired water plant operator with Stanford Water Works and served in the National Guard during the Korean War. He was a member of Pine Grove Church of Christ and Masonic Lodge 631, McKinney. He was the husband of Fannie E. Johnson Crawford.

Additional survivors include two sons, James T. Crawford of Danville and Prentice C. Crawford of Stanford; three brothers, Robert Crawford of Garrard County, Sammy Crawford of Madisonville, and Danny Crawford of Lexington; a sister, June Long of Garrard County; three grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Fox Funeral Home by Rick Estes. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

Born June 14, 1944, in Clark County, he was the son of the late Stuart and Virginia Drake Crawley. He was an employee of the U.S. Postal Service for 32 years and a Baptist.

Survivors include his wife, Pauline Litteral Crawley; two daughters, Angela Bass and Shannon Berry, both of Lancaster; a stepdaughter, Paulette Miller of Richmond; a sister, Alma Crawley of Winchester; and five grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his first wife, Linda Crawley. MORELAND - Walter Edward Daugherty Sr., 76, of Stanford died Saturday at Fort Logan Hospital.

Born March 23, 1927, in Lincoln County, he was the son of the late George W. and Maggie D. Nichols Daugherty.He was a retired farmer, member of Blue Lick Baptist Church and an Army veteran. He was the widower of Virginia "Dickie" Atkins Daugherty. Survivors include two sons, Paul B. Daugherty of Junction City and Stacey Daugherty of Hustonville; two sisters, Dorcas Malear of Lexington and Lena Mae Leathers of Danville; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at W.L. STANFORD - Services for Nannie K. Davidson, 95, of Stanford, will be 11 a.m. Friday at Spurlin Funeral Home by the Rev. Doug Wesley. A graveside service will be 3:30 p.m. Friday at Phillips Cemetery in Oneida, Tenn.

Born Feb. 13, 1908, in Boyle County, she was the daughter of the late Burl L. and Lizzie Green Potts. She was a homemaker and a member of Jehovah's Witness Stanford Congregation.

Survivors include two sons, Donald L. "Buddy" Davidson of Helenwood, Tenn., and George Davidson of Danville; three daughters, Elizabeth "Libby" Foster of Danville, Becky Brickey and Jean Estridge, both of Stanford; 17 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Estridge, Johnny Coulter, Dan Stephens, Mike, Troy and Rusty Davidson, and Scott and Ricky Foster. Honorary pallbearers are Don Stephens and Jim Foster.Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday.

CRAB ORCHARD - Carlos Eugene Denney, 59, of Crab Orchard died Monday at Ephraim McDowell Hospital.

Born on Sept. 17, 1947, in Broughtontown, he was the son of the late Carl and Lena Alice Abbott Denney. He was a retired barber and a Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Saylor Denney; two daughters, Karen Machal of Stanford and Sharon Boyd of Broughtontown; two sons, Darrin Denney of Crab Orchard and Damon Denney of Stanford; four brothers, Carl Denney of Cincinnati, Billy Denney and Robert Denney, both of Crab Orchard, and Danny Denney of Stanford; four sisters, Loretta Gilliam of Tazewell, Tenn., Francis Napier and Juanita Harrison, both of Danville, and Pauline Thompson of Lancaster; and five grandchildren.A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

SCIENCE HILL - Steve A. Dixon, 90, of Waynesburg died Saturday at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset.

Born Jan. 2, 1913, in Letcher County, he was the son of the late Dawson and Hattie Whitaker Dixon. He was a retired inspector for the Department of Agriculture and a member of Waynesburg Masonic Lodge 328 and Olive Baptist Church where he was a deacon and Sunday school teacher.

Survivors include his wife, Ruby Brown Dixon; two brothers, Bill D. Dixon of Ohio and Dewey Dixon of Indiana; three sisters, Nina Wampler of Indiana, Edna Caudill of Stanford and Katie Hampton of Chattanooga, Tenn.

MORELAND - Helen Dunn, 95, of Charleston Health Care Center, formerly of Hustonville, died Monday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Born Nov. 4, 1908, in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late George and Mina Swope Lucas. She was a homemaker and a member of Mount Salem Baptist Church. She was the widow of Charlie Dunn.

Survivors include two daughters, Rose Mary Durham of Hustonville and Ruth Hogue of Cincinnati, Ohio; three brothers, Lester, Virgil and Norman Lucas, all of Indianapolis, Ind.; a sister, Lucille Delk of Danville; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by a son, Garland Dunn, and a daughter, Nell Dunn.

MORELAND - Seth Immanuel Elkins, 20, of Liberty, formerly of Waynesburg, died Saturday.

Born Dec. 9, 1982, in Lexington, he was the son of Curtis and Alice Honaker Elkins of Waynesburg. He was self-employed and a member of Jehovah's Witnesses Liberty congregation. Other survivors include a brother, Benjamin G. Elkins of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and two sisters, Rebekah Mullins of Waynesburg and Tish Gonzales of Stanford. NICHOLASVILLE - Thelma Geneva Floyd, 73, of Nicholasville, died Wednesday. Born in Crab Orchard, she was the daughter of the late Dudley D. and Louisa Muncie Shelton.

She was a former employee of Canada Dry Distillery and a retired employee of Sargent & Greenleaf Co. She was a member of Nicholasville Baptist Church, Jessamine County Woman's Club and attended Liberty Prayer Group in Garrard County.

Survivors include two sons, Charles N. Floyd and Paul Douglas Floyd, both of Nicholasville; two sisters, Lela M. Bishop and Dora Bruner, both of Nicholasville; four brothers, Philip Shelton of Crab Orchard, Lawrence Shelton of Cincinnati, Larkin Shelton of Milan, Ohio, and Billy Shelton of Louisville; and two half sisters, Grace Payne and Beatrice Zinser.

STANFORD - Alvin E. Gander, 91, of Newland Lane died Tuesday at Fort Logan Hospital.

HUSTONVILLE - Robert Ray Reynolds, 81, of Moreland died Sunday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Born Aug. 6, 1922, in Moreland, he was the son of the late Luther A. and Dora Clark Reynolds. A graduate of Moreland High School, he was a retired parts manager for Ford Motor Co. He was a 50-year Mason at Hustonville Masonic Lodge and an Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Mae Falconbery Reynolds; a daughter, Rita Wright of Moreland; a granddaughter; and two great-grandsons.

Born Feb. 21, 1932, in Casey County, she was the daughter of the late Logan and Lydia May Salyers. She was a homemaker and a member of the Pentecostal church.

Marquese Edward Sinkhorn, 16-month-old son of Amanda Sue Sinkhorn and Clarence E. Harris, both of Stanford, died Saturday at University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center.

Born April 16, 1928, in Moreland, he was the son of the late Walter and Lennie Spears.

He was a longtime employee of the Housing Authority of Danville and a member of Indian Hills Christian Church, where he served as deacon and was a member of the adult Sunday school class. He was the widower of Mildred Huffman Spears.

Survivors include a brother, Charlie Spears of Danville; a sister, Emma Jean Ward of Zenia, Ohio; and a companion, Naomi Cox of Junction City.

Born April 12, 1915, in Franklin County, she was a retired bookkeeper for The Advocate-Messenger, where she worked for more than 30 years. She was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church in Hopkinsville and was a charter member of Moreland First Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school, sang with the choir and served as treasurer.

Born Feb. 23, 1926, in the Kidds Store Community in Casey County, he was the son of the late Theodore and Mattie Baird Whitis. He was a farmer and a businessman in Lincoln and Boyle counties. He was a member of Hustonville Baptist Church for more than 50 years where he served as a deacon and treasurer. He was a World War II veteran having served in the Army in Japan. He also was a member of Hustonville Masonic Lodge. Survivors include his wife, Jeraldine Anderson Whitis; two sons, Barry T. Whitis of Somerset and Gary T. Whitis of Knoxville; a daughter, Terri Stewart of Somerset; three sisters, Luvian Cochran and Alma Canada, both of Hustonville, and Jean Ann Case of Danville; six grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
