Shirley Roan Rousey Adams, 80, of Danville, died Oct. 24, 2012. She is the wife of Harold “Tommy” Adams. They were married for 62 years.

Born Feb. 5, 1932, in Butchertown, she was a daughter of the late Loyd Carl and Tina Rich Rousey. Shirley was a graduate of Hustonville High School, a member of Indian Hills Christian
Church for 47 years, and loved taking care of others.

She was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Michael Adams, and a grandson, Michael Aaron Adams.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Janet Adams (Danny) Watkins of Gallatin, Tenn., and Jane Adams (Tim) Sharp of Danville; a son, Gene (Christina) Adams of
Lake Worth, Fla.; a daughter-in-law, Sheila Adams of Danville; six grandchildren, Brian (JeriKay) Adams, Brad (JoMarie) Adams, Kara Watkins (Justin) Owen, Matthew
Adams, Gregory Adams and Hannah Sharp; four great-grandchildren, Bailey Johnson, Connor Johnson, Abi Adams and Gabe Adams; a sister, Nina Rousey Hatter of Junction
City; and four brothers, Patrick Allen (Mildred) Rousey of Moreland, Buddy Glenn (Joan) Rousey of North Fort Myers, Fla., Loyd Sherwood (Patricia) Rousey of Plant City, Fla., and Ronald Wayne (Barbara) Rousey of Lexington.

The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Indian Hills Christian Church with Lance Ladd and Odis Clark officiating. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Bill Fox, Barry Rousey, Bruce Rousey, David McMullin, Kenny Rousey, Keith Rousey, Jimmy Rousey and David Anderson.

Lois Christine Newcomb Anderson, 82, of Danville, died Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012.

Born Feb. 21, 1930, in Stanford, Ky., she was a daughter of the late Robert and Stella Spivey Newcomb. She was the widow of Wilbert Anderson Jr.

Lois was a member of the Danville congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, and retired from Palm Beach Co.

She was predeceased by two brothers, Keith and David Newcomb; and four sisters, Dorothy N. Williams, Georgia Coffee, Sherry Phelps and Betty Jane Newcomb.

Survivors include her sons, Jerry W. Anderson of Danville and Michael (Irene) Anderson of Junction City; her sisters, Virginia Hacker, Bessie Carter and Justine (Jeff) Frost,
all of Indianapolis, Ind.; her brothers, Roy (Amy) Newcomb of Lincoln County, Ky., Bobby Newcomb, Donnie Newcomb and Bennie (Diane) Newcomb, all of Indianapolis, Ind., and
Ronnie (Marge) Newcomb of Stanford, Ky.; two grandchildren, Stacey (Lee) Bieniasz and Denise (Kim) Nichols; and two great-grandchildren, Blythe Bieniasz and Harlow Bieniasz.

A private graveside service was held. James K. Uhrig officiated.

Beatrice Eleanor Beech Simpson Barnett, 80, died Monday, Sept. 24, 2012, at St. Joseph East Hospital in Lexington. She was the widow of Luther Barnett, who preceded her in death in 1984. 

Born Nov. 13, 1931, in Crab Orchard, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Garfield and Anna Brock Simpson. She was a member of Valley Baptist Church and a former volunteer for the Berea Hospital.

Survivors include two daughters, Patricia (Donald) Dozier of Olathe, Kan., and Teresa (Stephen) Mosley of Macon, Ga.; seven grandchildren, Renee Podrez, Angela Kesling, Michelle
Dozier, Sarah Fugate and Abby, Katherine and Stephen Mosley; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Lillie Mae Durham, Lucille Pingleton and
Wanda Owens; three brothers, Clyde, Melvin and Danny Simpson; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Louis, Beckham and Donald Simpson.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012, at Valley Baptist Church at Copper Creek, officiated by Bro. Tony Shelton. Burial will be in Brock Cemetery.

Casket bearers include David Croley, Scott Owens, Dennis Durham, Logan Shelton, Darrell, Curtis and Keith Simpson.

Visitation is after 5 p.m. today at Valley Baptist Church.

Hala Marie Benge, 72, of Comer, Ga., passed away Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012, at her home. She was the widow of Harold Benge, who preceded her in death in 1984. 

Born Nov. 25, 1939, in Crab Orchard, Ky., she was a daughter of the late Jesse E. and Judy (Neal) Coldiron. She was a retired employee of Palm Beach Clothing Co.

Survivors include her daughter, Patty Rae Tucker, of Comer, Ga.; a son, Derryl Gene Benge, of Comer, Ga.; a sister, Lena Faye Palmer, of Crab Orchard, Ky.; and two brothers,
Daniel Coldiron, of Nicholasville, Ky., and George (Marie) Coldiron, of Danville, Ky.

She also was preceded in death by two brothers, Vernon Lee and Tidge Coldiron, and a sister, Virginia Mullins.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, at McKnight Funeral Home in Crab Orchard officiated by Bro. Dan Gutenson. Burial will be in Coldiron Family Cemetery in Crab Orchard.

Pallbearers will be Danny Ray Coldiron, Charlie Douglas, Josh Shelton, Joel and Steve Bennett and Shane Pingleton. Honorary pallbearer will be Harold Singleton.

Kenneth Blevins, 82, widower of Alma Westerfield Blevins, died Oct. 16, 2012 at Fort Logan Hospital.

Born July 19, 1930 in Oneida, Tenn., he was the son of the late Arthur and Sarah Kidd Blevins.

He was a 1950 graduate of Danville High School and a self employed carpenter who loved woodworking and refinishing furniture and duplicated carved wood pieces for
Shakertown Village during the original restoration. He also enjoyed fishing and was a member of Calvary Hill Baptist Church of Stanford, Ky.

Survivors include two sons, Michael Blevins of Lexington and Samuel (Betty) Blevins of Stanford; a special friend and longtime companion, Roberta Addington; a brother,
Quincy Blevins of Danville; a sister, Beulah (Jim) Vogt of Bardstown, Ky.; two grandsons, Adam Justin Blevins and Eric Allen Rowe; and three great-grandchildren,
Blake Rowe, Brady Rowe and Ayden Blevins.

He was predeceased by a brother, Earl Blevins.

The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Stith Funeral Home with Rev. Dwight Parker officiating. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are
David Taylor, Jeff Johnson, Gary Kidd, Dale Blevins, Charles Newton and Bobby Newton. Honorary pallbearers are Rastus Yankee and Norman Addington.

Sherry Wallin Bullock, 51, wife of Terry of Eubank, died Aug. 26.

Born Aug. 12, 1961, in Crab Orchard, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Henry and Lula Ann DeBorde Wallin.

Survivors include her husband, Terry Bullock of Eubank; three children, Shawn Reed (Mary) of Lancaster, Kasheena Rose Bullock and Dylan Dakota Bullock, both of Eubank;
an adopted daughter, Michelle Rowe of Bronston; three grandchildren; an adopted granddaughter; three brothers, Ernest Wallin Jr., Jimmy Wallin, and Donnie Wallin; and a sister, Barbara Shelton.

Graveside services were Aug. 31 at Poplar Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

Charlie Clee Burton, 85, of Lancaster, formerly of Hustonville, died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012.

Born Dec. 11, 1926, he was the son of the late Etta Mae Kazee Taylor and Sam Burton. He was preceded in death by his wife,
Rose Davis Burton, and daughter, Judy.

Survivors include a son, Danny (Becky) Burton; seven daughters, Flossie West, Jean Adams, Libby Flores, Mary Burton, Ann (Roy) Hargis, Brenda (Harvey)
Southerland and Carrie Denson; a twin sister, Arlie (Jack) Noe; 16 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Joyce Ann James Cain, 75, of Stanford, KY died October 10, 2012 in Danville, KY. She was born November 21, 1936 in Stanford, KY to the late John B. and Mary Louise
Smith James. She was the widow of the late Robert C. "Bobby" Cain and was a retired employee of Wal~Mart after eleven years of working as a greeter and in maintenance.
She was a member of McKinney Christian Church, and was former member of Turnersville Christian Church. She also loved her pets and enjoyed playing the piano.

Survivors include her son; Lynn Robert Cain (Kimberly) of Stanford, KY, three grandchildren; Aaron, Karen, and Tyler Cain, and three great-grandchildren; Aubree, Tracie,
and Tyson Cain. She was preceded in death by one brother; John B. James Jr.

Visitation will be Sunday, October 14, 2012 from 5-6pm at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel (Stanford). A graveside service will be held at Buffalo Springs Cemetery in Stanford,

he was the son of the late George and Ritter Adams Calfee. Bennie worked as a Manager for American Tree & Wreath. He was a US Army Veteran, member of Pleasant
Point Baptist Church, and former member of the Waynesburg Masonic Lodge.

Bennie leaves behind his loving wife, Marilyn Taylor Calfee; two sons, Norman D. Calfee (Tonya) of Stanford and Paul Calfee (Susan) of Somerset; two daughters,
Rhonda Wall (Alan) of Hustonville and Karen Mason (Bryan) of Bowling Green; three brothers, Weldon Calfee of Louisville, Mack Calfee of Port St. Lucy, Florida, and Jack
Calfee of Cincinnati, Ohio; three sisters, Dana Lorentz and Lorena Pohl both of Texas, and Vina Wahle of Georgia; and six grandchildren, Kelsey, Olivia, Alex, Emma, Hanson, and Daniel.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Wendell Calfee; and three sisters, Broma Gross, Velma Caldwell, and Ruby Shelton.

Funeral services will be held 11:00AM Saturday, September 8, 2012 at Pleasant Point Baptist Church with Rev. Ed Bray officiating. Burial will follow in

Denver G. Caudill, 68, of Brodhead, Ky., passed away Friday, Oct. 19, at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.

Denver was the husband of Gladys Sizemore Caudill, whom he married July 6, 1962.

Born Oct. 14, 1944, in Harlan County, he was a son of the late Leonard and Virgie Eldridge Caudill. He had worked for Karst and Robbins Coal Co. as a coal miner and had driven a coal truck before retiring in 1989.

Denver was a member of Upper Clover Fort Missionary Baptist Church. He was an avid coon hunter, loving his favorite Black and Tans; and was a member of Dix River Coon Club, and American Black and Tan Coon Hound Association. Denver was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Gladys Caudill of Brodhead; a daughter, Dora (Ricky) Short of Crab Orchard; a son, James (Annette) Caudill of Hustonville; five sisters, Ella Mullins, Doris Bush, Debbie Bush, Bonnie Lafevers and Donna Short; five grandchildren, Christopher Caudill, Kristie Burgin, Stacey Short, Christina Tinsley and Hannah Herring; eight great-grandchildren, Kailey and Bradley Burgin, Alyssa Wade, Addyson Jenkins, Cody and Levi Tinsley, Morgan Short and Dustin Herring.

In addition to his parents, Denver was preceded in death by a son, Wayne Caudill; a sister, Maudie Saylor; and three brothers, Ralph and Don Hutchinson and Hobert Caudill.

Pallbearers will be Benny Hutchinson Jr., Randy Adams, Clay Short, Gilbert Saylor and Joe Bratcher. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Mick, Ricky Short, Wayne Wesley and Clifton Kelly.

James Melvin Collier, 92, of Elizabethtown, Kentucky passed away Monday, September 3, 2012. He was the husband of the late Nancy (Bailey) Collier whom he married on February 19, 1949.

Mr. Collier was born in Crab Orchard, KY on February 27, 1920, the son of the late James Melvin Collier, Sr. and Lula (Jones) Collier. He was a Veteran of the U.S.
Army and served as a Corporal during WW II. Mr. Collier worked as an Attorney and began the J.M. Collier Attorney at Law Firm in 1956 in Elizabethtown. He was a
graduate of the University of Kentucky obtaining his bachelor of arts degree in 1941. He then received his Bachelors degree in law and his Jurist Doctor Law degree at
UK as well. He then completed his Masters and received his PHD at the Rutgers University in New Jersey. Mr. Collier was a member of the Severns Valley Baptist Church.

Mr. Collier is survived by his Son, Dr. James Melvin Collier, III of Lexington Daughters: Sara Collier Pitney of Elizabethtown,  Susan B. Collier of Lexington  
He is also survived by 3 Grandchildren, Lauren D. Collier, Jay W.L. Collier and Emily B. Collier

Private Interment will be held at Crab Orchard Cemetery.  
A Memorial Service will be held at a future date.

Virginia Lee Davis, 95, of Hwy. 1770, died Thursday, August 2, 2012. Born July 25, 1917, in Hazard, she was the daughter of the late Harrison and Ida Combs.
Along with her husband, Maurice Claude “M.C.” Davis, she ran family owned groceries and commissaries, in Corbin, Harlan and Danville. She was a graduate of Hazard
High School and a member of Stanford Baptist Church. Virginia worked as a nurse for Dr. Bailey in Hazard and taught Sunday school for several years at Stanford Baptist Church.
Virginia was a lover of her flowers, all animals and anyone in need. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. 

She was preceded in death by her husband Maurice Claude “M.C.” Davis. Survivors include her two sons, Glenn W. Davis of Stanford and Raymond H. Davis of Lexington;
daughter in law, Evelyn Davis of Stanford and Diana L. Davis of Lexington; two grandchildren, Allison L. Culbertson of Versailles, husband B. Logan Culbertson, and Michael G.
Davis of Lexington; two great-grandchildren, Lucy G. Culbertson and Zoe L. Culbertson of Versailles; brothers in law Dr. Franklin Davis of North Point, Florida and Kenneth
Davis of Prospect, Kentucky. Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, August 4, 2012 at Fox Funeral Home by Rev. Max Hester. Burial will be in the Buffalo Springs Cemetery
where she will be reunited forever with her dear husband, Maurice Claude “M.C.” Davis.

Marie “Joyce” Brock Dollins, 81, of Crab Orchard, passed away Thurs., Oct. 11, at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.

Born Oct. 28, 1930, in Crab Orchard, Joyce was a daughter of the late Roscoe George and Okie (Hoskins) Brock. She was the widow of Harold
Wallace "Toney" Dollins, who preceded her in death on Feb. 3, 2008.

Joyce was a faithful member of Crab Orchard Baptist Church and a member of Crab Orchard Eastern Star. She was a former co-owner of Dollins
Feed Supply and had previously worked for Crab Orchard Elementary School.

Survivors Include a son, U.S. Navy Capt. Toney Ray Dollins (Dianne) of Virginia Beach, Va.; three grandchildren, U.S. Marines L/Cpl Toney Ray
Dollins Jr. of Crab Orchard, and Christopher Alexander and Helaina Brock Dollins, both of Virginia Beach, Va.; three sisters, Connie Laswell, Iris
Coleman and Susan Wyler (Paul), all of Lancaster; and four nieces and nephews, Jean Michelle Brown, Marissa (Dion) Decker, Scott Coleman and Christian Wyler.

Two sisters, Barbara Brown and Freda McGohon, preceded Joyce in death.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 15, at Crab Orchard Baptist Church with Bro. Isaiah Super officiating. Burial will follow in Crab Orchard Cemetery.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. today at McKnight Funeral Home and after 10 a.m. Monday at Crab Orchard Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Jayne Cutter Dunaway; a daughter, Susan Dunaway of Shelbyville, Ky.; a son, Mark (Angela) Dunaway of Huntsville; and grandchildren.

Born Nov. 23, 1932, in Stanford, Ky., he was a son of the late John and Rachel (Raye) Dunaway. He was a pastor and served as president of the Kentucky Baptist Convention.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. CST today, Oct. 19, at First Baptist Church of Huntsville, Ala. Services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday CST at the church.

A celebration of his life will be held 2 p.m. EST Nov. 3 at the First Baptist Church in Corbin, Ky.

Homer Dee Emerson, 79, of Cincinnati and formerly of Waynesburg, KY, beloved husband of 58 years of Geneva Emerson, died suddenly Wednesday, September 5, 2012.
He was a member of Trinity Northbrook Baptist Church, a retired employee of Procter & Gamble, and an army veteran. He was the son of the late Jesse Dee & Lucy Floyd Emerson.

He is survived by one sister, Mary Lou Blaine Griffin of Eubank, KY, one brother; Vernon Emerson of Somerset, KY, a special nephew; Carl Hixson, and
many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters; Gracie Hixson and Orlena Wall, and two brothers; Ray and Arnold Emerson.

Visitation will be Monday, September 10, 2012 from 6-9pm at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford, KY. Funeral will be Tuesday at 11am with
burial following at Double Springs Cemetery in Waynesburg, KY.

widow of the late Joe Fletcher Jr., a former employee of Hudson Motor Company and a member of New Salem Baptist Church.

Survivors include a special niece; Janice Piekacz of Rochester, MI, a special nephew; Melvin Thomas of Shelby Township, MI, one brother; Phillip Vinson of
Roseville, MI, one sister; Evelyn Upton of Louisville, KY, and several more nieces and nephews.

There will be a one day service held at New Salem Baptist Church on Saturday, September 15, 2012 with visitation from 1-2pm and funeral beginning at 2pm.

Donald Wayne “Blue” Foster, 61, of Garrard County, died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, in Nelson County from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Born March 19, 1951, in Lincoln County, he was the son of the late George Elbert “Blue” Foster.

Survivors include four brothers, Hillard Foster, Lewis Foster, William Tommy Metcalf and Stevie Diemer; a sister, Daris Ann Miller; and a sister-in-law, Linda Foster.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Fox Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Buffalo Springs Cemetery with
full military rites performed by the Caswell-Saufley Post No. 18, American Legion.

GENTON, Ila, 97, of Zephyrhills, Fla., passed away Saturday, April 7, 2007 in Zephyrhills. She was born August 24, 1909 in Crab Orchard, Ky., to August and
Mary (Anderson) Bartels and came to Zephyrhills in August of 2002, from Inverness, Fla. Ila was a homemaker and worked as her husband's bookkeeper for many years.
She was a member of the Wesley Chapel Seventh Day Adventist Church where she was active in the church for many years. She served as treasurer, deaconess,
pianist, and Children' s Sabbath School teacher.

 Ila was predeceased by her husband, Montez J. Genton; and two of her nine children, Juanita Rosier and Jessie M. Holder. She is survived by six daughters and one son,
Lola M. Genton of Zephyrhills, Emily and her husband, Howard Austin, of Grand Island, Fla., Alice and her husband, Don Whitt ,of Athens, Ga., Mary and her husband,
Robert Scheibe, of Franklin, Ga., Dena and her husband, Ellsworth Wery, of Phenix City, Ala., Marc and his wife, Meredith Genton, of Dade City, Fla., and Marleen and
her husband, Lloyd Young, of Apopka, Fla. Ila is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. A number of which are
family members by adoption. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, April 14, 2007 at Wesley Chapel Seventh Day Adventist Church with Pastor Haskell
Williams and Chaplain Marc Genton officiating.

Interment will follow at 5 p.m. at Braden River Cemetery in Bradenton, Fla. The family will receive friends 6-8:30 p.m. Friday at Whitfield Funeral Home.

Marjorie Clark Chandler Manuel, 93, of Crab Orchard, passed away Fri., Oct. 12, at Christian Care Center in Lancaster.

She was the widow of Joe Manuel, who preceded her in death in 1981.

Born Dec. 11, 1918, in Crab Orchard, she was a daughter of the late James and Ruth Holtzclaw Chandler. She was a faithful member of Crab Orchard Christian Church,
a member of the Crab Orchard Homemakers and she was a  Kentucky Colonel.

Survivors include two sons, Billy Joe Manuel of Reading, Ohio and Bobby L. (Hazel) Manuel of Benham, Ky.; twin daughters, Norma Jean (Lowell) Wallin of Lockland,
Ohio, and Ernestine (John) Raptosh of Dayton, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Hillary Polston, Clint Manuel, Debbie Fite, Eric Manuel, Chip Manuel, Nick Raptosh and
Jean Williams; three step-grandchildren, Rick Gaines, George Barley and Teresa Hatfield; 10 great-grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; two great-great- grandchildren;
a niece, Yevonne Goodner; and a nephew, Jim Chandler.

A son, Clark Manuel, and a brother, Samuel Chandler, preceded her in death.

Burial will be at Maplelawn Park Cemetery in Paducah. Mrs. Mason died at 11:12 a.m. Monday at Lourdes hospital.

Mrs. Mason was a former employee of Shawnee Plastics in Kuttawa and a former office assistant for Eddy Creek Resort. She was a member of Eddyville Assembly of God Church.

Surviving are her husband, Rick Mason; two daughters, Amanda Blackburn of Nicholasville and Camron Mason of Lexington; two brothers, Terry Smith of
Franklin and Mike Smith of Hardin; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Holly Williams. Her parents were Leo Smith and Genon Collins Smith Wardlow

Hubert “Preach” Miracle, 91, of Stanford, was called from his earthly home to his heavenly home on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at 5:30PM. Hubert was
born April 7, 1921 in Laurel County. He was the son of the late William Abraham Miracle and Nancy Catherine Hoskins Miracle.

Hubert was a proud veteran of WWII, serving as a telephone pole climber in the 926 Signal Core. He also landed and drove a Jeep onto Normandy Beach.
He was a farmer for many years and loved to build barns. He was a member of Fairview Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, Hubert was preceded in death by his loving wife, Vertrice “Bert” Long Miracle; daughter, Barbara Miracle; three sisters,
Mary Ellen Everett, Mossie Hoskins, and Dessie Robbins; five brothers, Dan, Harvey, Boyd, Robert, and Lloyd Miracle.

Hubert leaves behind his daughter, Mary Miracle Dishon (Robert) of Danville; three grandsons, Norman Christopher Reed, Bryan Dishon, and Michael
Dishon; two great-grandchildren, Christian and Barbara Ariel Dishon; one sister, Bessie Miracle Peck; and lots of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

including Jackie Snow, who was like a son to her. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Junior and Clarence Qualls, and two sisters, Lydia Pendygraft and Peachie Snow.

Mary Jo Ray passed away June 26, 2012 in Bloomington Indiana Hospital. She was born July 28, 1926 in Stanford, Kentucky to Wallace and Mabel Singleton.
She graduated from Danville Indiana High School and was a 1948 graduate of Indiana University School of Business.

 After graduation she worked for Proctor and Gamble as a market research specialist. On August 20, 1950 she married Donald Ray. Mary Jo is survived by
her loving husband Don, one brother; Kenneth Singleton, children; Randy Ray, Laura Ray Shelton and Julie Ray Burdine, sons-in-laws, Mark Shelton and
Jerry Burdine, grandchildren Diane Shelton, Matthew Shelton, David Shelton, Samantha Burdine and Sarah Burdine, sister and brother-in-laws Barbara
and Victor Osborne, Mary and Ivan Moreman, Jane and Virgil Mayhew, Paul and Vicky Ray and 19 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in
death by her parents and her brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Marilyn (French) Ray.

Mary Jo was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who always had a smile on her face and a kind word for all. Mary Jo was a member of
Sanibel, Florida Community Church and attended the First United Methodist Church of Bloomington. She was a past member
of the Indianapolis(South)Symphony Guild and was an avid shell collector.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 28, 2012 from 4-8 p.m. in Day Funeral Home 4150 E. 3rd St., Bloomington, IN 47401.

 Mrs. Christine Rightmyer, 88, of Harrodsburg, widow of Dr. H.D. Rightmyer died Sunday, October 14, 2012 at her residence. Born June 14, 1924 in Lincoln County,
Christine was the daughter of the late Howard and Wilma Sutton Holtzclaw. Christine was a homemaker, she served as a volunteer with the Hospital Auxiliary at the
James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital, she was a member of the W.M.U. and Light & Lively at the Harrodsburg Baptist Church where she was a member since 1950,
a member of the Widow To Widow Group and former Secretary at the Bruners Chapel Baptist Church for ten years.

She is survived by three sons: Don (Bonnie) Rightmyer of Danville, Dick (Martha) Rightmyer of Gainesville, GA and Keith (Bobbi) Rightmyer of Harrodsburg, one sister:
Elsie Russell of Stanford, one brother: Paul ( Yvonne) Holtzclaw of Atlanta, GA, four grandchildren: Sarah Rightmyer, Amber Wilham, Marie Huffman and Christine N.
Rightmyer and three great grandchildren: Delilah Garrett, Devon Huntsberger and Logan Wilham.

In addition to her parents and husband Christine was preceded in death by one sister: Hazel Meadors.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M., Friday, October 19, 2012 at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home with Eddie Russell and Wayne Spivey officiating.
Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery with Don Long, Billy Dunaway and Harrodsburg Baptist Church Deacons serving as pallbearers.

She is survived by two sons, Farris (Connie) Mason of Danville and Luther Mason of Jeffersonville, IN; two daughters, Charlene (Ralph) Francis of Louisville and
Linda McMillan of Los Angeles, CA; six grandchildren: seven great grandchildren: and one brother, Charles B. Clarkson of Danville.  

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Margaret Clarkson, Florence Shieve and Laura Walls and eight brothers: Henry, William, Jacob, Lee, James, Harvey,
Stewart and George Clarkson, Jr. Services will be at 11 am, Monday at W. L. Pruitt Funeral Home in Moreland by Dr. Tommy Valentine with burial in Danville Memorial

Frank “Hank” Senior, 60, died Friday, Oct. 12, 2012.

Born March 21, 1952, in Louisville, Ky., he was a son of to the late Louise Reily and Frank Earl Senior Sr.

Frank was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church and enjoyed being involved through helping others. He also enjoyed golfing, fishing and being with his family and friends. Frank managed Pony Express and Bella Pizza, both in Frankfort, and made many friends in the Frankfort community through his restaurants.

Survivors include his wife of 14 years, Vickie Anne Harmon Senior; two stepsons, Steven Brian Carrier of Danville and James Patrick (Cathy) Carrier of Crab Orchard; two grandchildren, James Eli Carrier and Amelia Marie Carrier; three brothers; seven sisters; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012, at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home with Dr. Steven James officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Methodist Church Cemetery in Lincoln County.

Lena Manuel Smith, 88, of Crab Orchard, passed away Thurs., Oct. 11, 2012, at Fort Logan Hospital in Stanford. She was the widow of Hurley Thomas Smith.

Lena was born in Lincoln County on Feb. 4, 1924. She was a daughter of the late John and Jenny Lawson Manuel.

She was a member of the Mount Zion Church of Christ and was the most loving mother and grandmother.

Lena is survived by two sons, Jay (Mitzi) Smith and Mark (Pam) Smith, both of Stanford; a daughter, Sheila Hopkins of Stanford; four grandchildren, Kimberly (John)
Taylor, Chris (Amanda) Hopkins, and Justin and Brandy Smith; and three great-grandchildren, Brittany, Alex and Chance.

Three brothers, Eaf, Joe and Raymond Manuel, and one sister, Mary Spears, preceded her in death.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Bobby and Billy Joe Manuel, Chris and David Hopkins, Bill Long and Larry Paul. Honorary pallbearers will be James Ray and Kenny Manuel,

Bernice Mullins Southerland, 89, passed away Monday, Oct. 22, 2012.

Born Aug. 10, 1923, in Casey County, Ky., she was a daughter of the late Jenny Hall and Charlie Mullins. She was the wife of the late Henry Thomas Southerland.

She was a homemaker, a member of Hustonville Baptist Church, enjoyed gardening, flowers and especially cooking for her family.

Survivors include a daughter, Patty (Mike) Evans of Danville; three sons, Thomas Glen Southerland of Lawrenceburg, Randy (Gwen) Southerland of
Stanford and Scotty (Dana) Southerland of Danville; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Bernice was preceded in death by two sisters, Gladys “Sister” Brown and Addie Grubbs; two brothers, Sherman
Mullins and Harrison “Buddy” Mullins; and one granddaughter.

Gary Thompson; and sisters: Caroline VonLinger, Anna Hampton, and Marti Baker.

She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church; and was a long-time employee of Scott County Hospital.

She is survived by her children: Mark Thompson and wife, Sue, Janet Worley and husband, Rick, Robin Malone and husband, Wayne, and Johnny Thompson and wife,
Heather; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, sisters: Rosa Jean Patterson, Rita Bishop, Zelpha McKinney, Francis Stevens, Mary Lee Oaks, Joyce Haggard, and
Jeanette Coleman; sisters- and brother-in-law: Muriel Stephens, Betty Phillips, and Roy Thompson; special friend, Mary Blakley; and many other relatives.

Funeral service was conducted April 9, in the chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Malone officiating. Interment followed at
Double Springs Cemetery in Waynesburg, Ky.

Rosa Mae Ray Wallin, 80, died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, at Rockcastle Regional Hospital. She was the wife of John W. Wallin, whom she married June 16, 1951.

Born Sept. 23, 1932, in Garrard County, she was a daughter of Charlie and Lizzie Baker Ray. She was a devoted Christian and a member of Crab Orchard Church of
God. She enjoyed reading the Bible, and was a loving mother and homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, John W. Wallin; four children, Johnnie (Donald) Dowell, Debbie (Jackie) Brock, Steve Wallin and Michael (Marqueeta) Wallin; a sister,
Joanna Crews; eight grandchildren, Renee, Jennifer, Amy, Laqueash, Michael Jr., Josh, John Ellis and Tyler; and 11 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Jack, Gene, Jim, Homer and Charles Ray; and three sisters, Lucille Dewitt, Dorothy Collins and Hazel Fain.

Samuel Dewey “Frosty” Whitehead, 86, of Lexington, died Monday, Oct. 1, at his home. He was the widower of Alice Howard Whitehead. 

Born Sept. 28, 1926, in Brodhead, he was a son of the late Murphy and Grace Lee Johnson Whitehead. He was an Army veteran and had received the Asiatic Pacific
Theater Ribbon, the Victory Medal and the Occupational Medal of Japan. He was an inspector for the Kentucky Department of Agriculture.

Survivors include daughters, Rhonda (Levi) Gordon and Avonia (Joseph) Allor, both of Lexington; a son, Gary Whitehead of Lexington; special friend and caregiver,
Nancy Tackett; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wife, Frosty was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Alicia Gastineau; a brother, Willie Ray Whitehead; and sisters, Mildred Pesce and Aslee Bray.

Mrs. Wilder retired after over 20 years as a teacher’s aide at Hustonville Elementary School. She loved helping and spending time with young children, sewing,
cooking and collecting Willow Tree Angels and Red Birds. She was a member of Moreland Christian Church.

Survivors include her loving husband, Johnny Wilder; one daughter, Jamie-Marie Wilder of Moreland; one sister, Louise (Rick) Crowe of Junction City;
