Eubank, died Tuesday.
Born Jan. 30, 1928, in Lincoln County,
to the late William Braz and Nannie Phillippe Parker McKinney, she was the widow
of Darwin R. Adington.
Survivors include two sons, Danny R.
Adington of Waynesburg and Lanny J. Adington of Eubank; a daughter, Brenda Sue
Adington Rice of Scottsville; a foster son, Delvin Williams of Eubank; six
grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by an infant
son.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Cuba
Community Church of God with Troy Roberts officiating. Burial will be in McKinney
Cemetery.

Fisher Ford Road, died at Thompson-Hood Veterans Center on Sunday, June 17,
2007.
Born Feb. 29, 1948, in Hazard, Ky., he
was the son Earl Leach and the late Freida Campbell Leach. He owned and operated
Campbell Custom Cabinets, and was a member of Nicholasville Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy
Barrier Campbell; son, Richard Earl Campbell (Tonia) of Lancaster; daughters,
Lisa Gayle Hall (Troy) of Lancaster and Lori Ann Ward (Ben) of Tennessee;
brothers, Danny Leach of Florence and Dwayne Leach of Michigan; step-sisters,
Diane Kruse (Jeff) of Florence and Debra Leach of Tennessee; and eight
grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Jacob Ward.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at
Spurlin Funeral Home by the Rev. Greg Belcher. Burial will be in Double
Springs Cemetery in Waynesburg.
Pallbearers will be Troy Hall, Bob

Born June 12, 1929, in Waynesburg, she
was a daughter of the late Johnnie and Mildred Hasty Falconberry. She was a home
healthcare employee and a member of Hustonville Disciples of Christ Church.
Survivors include a son, Thaddeus
Cassidy (Gloria) of the Republic of Marshall Islands; four daughters, Rhonda
Glaser (Bill) of Shelbyville, Renee Grider (Lewis) of Junction City, Brenda
Short (Fred) of Hustonville and Marquita Long (Richard) of Danville; three
brothers, DeLynn Falconberry of Burnside, Gary Falconberry of Crab Orchard and
Larry Falconberry of Eubank; two sisters, AnnaBelle Willis of Louisville and
Margaret Smith of Somerset; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother,
James Falconberry.

She was born Jan. 7, 1920, in Letcher
County to the late Floyd and Martha Ellen Fields Back and the widow of Raymond
Caudill.
Survivors include four sons, William
Caudill of Evansville, Ind., Roy Caudill and Philip Caudill, both of Waynesburg,
and Roger Caudill of Kings Mountain; four daughters, Barbara Baker of
Arkadelphia, Ark., Lynda Leach of Waynesburg, and Shelia Jenkins and Dana
Padgett, both of Nicholasville; a brother, Jack Back of Dover, Del.; a sister,
Mavis Dison of Gary, Ind.; 26 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and four
great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at
Barnett & Demrow Funeral Home. Visitation is 6-9 p.m. today. Burial will be

Willie Caudill, 83, of Kings Mountain died Tuesday, July 24 at his residence.
A native of Casey County, he was born Friday, March 21, 1924 to the late Hassel and Matilda Bastin Caudill. He was a retired farmer and carpenter and a WWII Navy veteran.
He was also preceded death by a son, Timmie Caudill; and three sisters, Kathleen Wallen, Myrtle Owens and Dorothy Sims.
Survivors include his wife, Edith Sims Caudill of Kings Mountain; four sons, Jimmie B. (Martha) Caudill of Stanford, Bennie Lee (Lois) Caudill of Eubank, Freddie (Connie) Caudill of Waynesburg, and Freeman (Nancy) Caudill of Kings Mountain; a daughter, Frances Lynn (Robbie) Manning of Waynesburg; a brother, Richard Caudill of Ohio; three sisters, Iva Dean Fields, Ruby Ritchie and Glenna Falconbury all of Ohio; 10 grandchildren, Jimmie W. (Katie) Caudill, Willie F. (Jessica) Caudill; Scott O. (Kelli) Lawson, Alisha (Scott) Waters, Anna Caudill, Bradley Caudill, Janie (Chad) Godby, Niki Kay Caudill, and Bryan and Richard Manning; and 11 great grandchildren, John, Tasha and Madison Caudill, Curtis Perry, Soren Caudill, Baleigh and Sadie Lawson, Maci and Braydon Waters, Zachery Caudill, and Triston Godby.
Funeral services were July 28 at Pond Baptist Church with Bros. Wayne Stephens and Eric Douglas officiating. Burial was in Pond School Road Cemetery.

Maysville. He was a student at Mason County High School.
He also is survived by a sister, Marcie
Leigh Caudill of Maysville; paternal grandparents, Murl and Eola Whitaker
Caudill of Stanford; maternal grandparents, Bill Asbury of Illinois and maternal
great-grandfather, Raliegh Struble.
Services will be noon Tuesday at
Denton-Workman Funeral Home, Flemingsburg. Burial will be in Double Springs
Cemetery by Barnett & Demrow Funeral Home.

Samuel R. Chandler, 78, died May 29, 2007 in Vandalia, Ohio.
Sam was born on Nov. 12, 1928 in Crab Orchard to the late Jim and Ruth Holtzclaw Chandler of Crab Orchard. Sam retired from General Motors and was a veteran of the U.S. Army; a member of the Vandalia Masonic Lodge F&AM #742 and the Scottish rite, Miami Valley, of Dayton.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mattie Curtis Chandler; two children, Yevonne Goodner and husband, Greg, and Jimmy Chandler and wife, Diane; four grandchildren, Jesse and Cole Chandler and Katie and Sarah Goodner; one great-grandson, Elijah Chandler, all of Ohio; one sister, Marjorie Manuel of Crab Orchard; two nieces, Ernestine Raptosh and Norma J. Wallin, both of Ohio; two nephews, Billy Manuel of Ohio and Bobby Manuel of Benham, Ky.; and one cousin, Elizabeth Childs of Lancaster.
Services were held in Dayton, Ohio on June 2.

Chapman, 83, of Mount Salem, formerly of Jamestown, died Tuesday, June 12, 2007,
at her daughter's residence.
Born Feb. 15, 1924, in Lincoln County,
she was the daughter of the late Herman and Mae Fletcher Smith. Along with her
husband, she owned and operated Wagon Master Antiques and was a homemaker. She
was a member of Fairview Separate Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by
her husband of 50 years, George Lewis Chapman.
Survivors include a son, Tim (Charlene)
Chapman of Miami, Fla.; two daughters, Betty Ann (Ray) Turney of Mount Salem,
and Jane (Tommy) Bowling of Hixson, Tenn.; a sister, Agnes McAninch of Yosemite;
seven grandchildren, Jeffrey Gray (Julie) and Christopher George (Holly) Turney,
Angela, Tom, Amanda and Sam Bowling, and Eric Chapman. She had seven
great-grandchildren, Sara, Forrest, Seth, Alexandra and Madison Turney, and
Tamara and Timothy Schmidt; and two step-great-grandchildren, Hannah and Emily
Davis. Two brothers, A.G. and Arnold Smith, and two sisters, Dessie Lucas and
Annie Baird, predeceased her. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at W.L. Pruitt
Funeral Home with the Rev. Thomas E. Holt officiating, with burial at Camp
Nelson National Cemetery.

great-grandsons. Honorary pallbearers are granddaughters and

The Rev. Melvin Dishon, 91, of Bowling Green died at 6:20 a.m. Jan. 16, 2005 at Greenview Regional Hospital. The Lincoln County native was a retired Methodist and Nazarene Minister for 70 years, attended Asbury Seminary, pastured Methodist and Nazarene churches in several cities, served as an evangelist for many years prior to his retirement and was a past member of Bowling Green Ministerial Association.
He was a son of Chris Dishon and Nettie Padgett Dishon and the husband of the late Edna Faye Bell Dishon. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at New Life Church of the Nazarene where he was a member. Burial will be in Bowling Green Gardens. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at J. C. Kirby & son Funeral Home, Lovers Lane Chapel.

Born July 10, 1923 in Danville, she was a daughter of the late Jessie Case and Catherine Peavler Case of Stanford. She had worked at Truckers Home and Cabins in Halls Gap as a cook and was the widow of Jack Elliott of Halls Gap and James Hatter of Waynesburg.
Survivors include five sons, Frank and Ernie Elliott both of Erlanger, Chris Elliott of Covington, Jerry Elliott of Bromley, and Chester Elliott of Walton; two daughters, Dorothy Hildebrant of Bromley and Rebecca Scruggs of Covington; one sister, Viola Franklin of Junction City; 23 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; four cousins, Don Troxel of Elsmere, Edith Bronson of Bethel, Ohio, Betty Bronson of Felicity, Ohio, and Brenda Foster of Stanford.

She worked as a bus monitor for the

Espinosa of Crab Orchard, and Vanessa Hodge of Lancaster, Ky.; five sisters,
Myrtle Mullins and Allene Hodge, both of Waynesburg, Pauline Harp of Durham,

brother, Henry Denney of Waynesburg; and three grandchildren.

Survivors include a son, John R. Moore
of Danville, Ky.; and a grandchild, Matt Moore.

Georgia.

James Edward Murphy, of Waynesburg,
husband of Deloris Streeval Murphy, died July 25, 2007.
Born Aug. 26, 1943, in Danville, he was
the son of the late Virginia Louise Coomer Murphy and Ivan Lee Murphy Sr. He
worked for the City of Danville and attended Parlor Grove Baptist Church.
He also is survived by three sisters,
Mrs. Jerry (Mary Murphy) Leathers of Danville, Mrs. Robert (Margie Murphy) Walls
of LaGrange, and Mrs. James (Ruth Murphy) West of Louisville; and 27 nieces and
nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Billy Murphy and Ivan Boo
Murphy, and a brother-in-law, James West.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m.
Monday at Stith Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Mullins. Burial will be in
Bellevue Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Bill Whitaker,
Hollis Pike, Gerald Naylor, Marty Bradshaw, Sean Pike and Jerry Calhoun.

he was a son of the late Fred W. and Opal Fletcher Ollish. He was a truck driver
and farmer, a member of Grace Fellowship Church and an Army veteran of the
Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Christine
Greer Ollish; three sons, Charles Ollish (Connie) of Mainville, Ohio, Kenneth
Ollish (Marcia) of Pataskala, Ohio, and Fred Ollish of Fairfield, Ohio; two
brothers, Clayton Ollish (Virginia) and Orville Ollish (Velma), both of
Waynesburg; and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother,
Leroy Ollish.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at
Grace Fellowship Church by the Rev. Vola Brown. Burial will be in Mount

"Jenny" Leach Powers, 80, of Stanford, Ky., died Sunday at Heartland
Hospice in Cartersville, Ga.
She was the widow of Earl C. Powers,
who preceded her in death on Feb. 19, 1999.
Born May 3, 1927, in Waynesburg, Ky.,
she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Grace Burleson Leach. She was a
former employee of Tropicana in Bradenton, Fla., and a member of Stanford First
Church of God.
Survivors include a daughter, Marty
Canterbury of Bradenton, Fla.; a son, Marshall Lee Powers of Ackworth, Ga.;
three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four sisters, Dorothy Marie Fisher
and Geneva Smith, both of Waynesburg, Faye Ginn of Mountain View, Ark., and Lucy
Alderman of Ellenton, Fla.; four brothers, Raymond Leach Jr. and Freeman Leach,
both of Hampton, Ga., Jerry Leach of Waynesburg and Gary Leach of Somerset. She
also was preceded in death by two brothers, Billy Ray and James Leach, and a
sister, Betty Rose Collins.

"Sherman" Reynolds, 60, of Waynesburg, died Monday, July 16, 2007 at
Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Danville.
Born Saturday, Nov. 23, 1946, in
Waynesburg to the late Byron Mercer and Nola Evelyn Wesley Reynolds, he was a
graduate of Memorial High School, and a U.S. Air Force Vietnam veteran having
achieved the rank of sergeant. He was a postal carrier for Waynesburg and Kings
Mountain areas for more than 28 years. He was a founding member and captain of
Waynesburg Rescue Squad and former member of Waynesburg Ruritan Club. Robert was
a member of the Pleasant View Baptist Church and a former deacon. He was an avid
deer hunter and member of The Something Ain't Right Rod and Gun Club. Robert was
a Kings Mountain Memorial Basketball Coach for both boys and girls teams and a
referee for local games, as well as umpiring local softball games. He also
enjoyed church league softball and league bowling.
Robert married Judy Padgett on Jan. 1,
1973. To this marriage came two children, Robert "Robbie" Darrell
Reynolds of Jacksonville, Fla., and Misty Dawn Reynolds of Georgetown. He is
survived by a brother, Byron Dean (Barbara) Reynolds of Durham, N.C., and two
sisters, Beverly Sue Murphy of Kings Mountain and Nancy Kay (Condy) Cook of
Lexington, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends, and two
dogs, Zeus and Sis.
Robert was preceded in death by two
brothers, Darrell Rickey and Byron Edison Reynolds; and a brother-In-law, Kerry
Curtis Murphy.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at
Barnett & Demrow Funeral Home with Bro. Aaron Hogue and Kerry Jones
officiating. Burial will be in Double Springs Cemetery with military

A native of Lincoln County, he was born Oct. 24, 1941 to Nellie Phillippe of Kings Mountain and the late Emmitt Robertson. He was a retired truck driver and a Baptist.
Other survivors include his wife, Anna L. Robertson of Middleburg, Fla.; one son, Dwayne Evan Robertson of Corbin; three daughters, Vickie Lynn Robertson of Lexington, Paula Ann Grennell of Mt. and Rehabilitation.
Born Feb. 21, 1912, in Lincoln County,
Ky., she was the daughter of the late Bertha Peyton and Conrad Carpenter
Russell. The widow of Claude Lee Singleton, she was a graduate of Moreland High
School where she was the center on the basketball team. A graduate of Louisville
business school, Lyda was a part-time postal clerk at the Moreland Post Office.
She was a homemaker, craftswoman,
quilter and gardener. Lyda traveled extensively with her daughter and grandson.
She was a member of First Christian Church.
Lyda is survived by her daughter,
Joanne Singleton Greene of Danville; her grandson, Larry Lee Green of San
Francisco, Calif., and a special family friend, Gary Taniguchi of San Francisco.
The funeral service will be 1 p.m.
Friday at Stith Funeral Home, Danville, with the Rev. Mike Cox and the Rev.

She was also preceded in death by an infant son.
Survivors include two daughters, Patty VanHook and Connie (Marvin) Wilson of Moreland; and nieces and nephews, including LaVon (James) Laswell and Jana, and Ronnie (Brenda) and Dale (Donna) Allen.

she was the daughter of the late Claude and Elizabeth Bodner McElfresh. She was
a member of Lexington Avenue Baptist Church and an avid reader; she especially
enjoyed the newspaper. A wonderful homemaker, she was lovingly called Gigi by
her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Ray
Walker Jr.; two daughters and a son-in-law, Pamela Steele of Louisville and
Phyllis and Gayle Bibb of Elizabethtown; five grandchildren, Deron Bibb and his
wife, Angela, Lori Bibb and her husband, David Smith, Kelly Steele Kaspar, Sarah
Steele and Andrew Steele; and four great-grandsons, Alex, Ryan and Jack Bibb and
Walker Smith.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at
Stith Funeral Home with the Rev. Deron Bibb. Burial will be in Bellevue
Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Gayle Bibb, Deron
Bibb, David Bibb, Jason Bewley, David Smith and Andrew Steele. Honorary
pallbearers are Walker Smith, and Alex, Ryan and Jack Bibb.

Ricky Lee Young, 46, of Winchester, VA, died June 12.
A native of Stanford, he was born October 15, 1960, to the late Raymond and Alma Young.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Young of Winchester, VA; one son, Ricky T. Young of Hustonville; one brother, Justin (Connie) Young of Danville; three sisters, Gladys (Gary) King of Stanford, Diana (Robert) Ray of Lancaster, and Evyon (Richard) Farr of Palm Harbor, Fla.
Burial at Bellevue Cemetery. Fox Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
