Bertha Cain, 89, of Stanford, died Thursday, June 26 at the Humana Hospital Lake Cumberland in Somerset.  

A native of Lincoln County she was born Jan. 5, 1897. She was a housewife  and a member of Pine Grove Church of Christ.  

Survivors include two sons, Virgil Siler, Louisville and Chester Siler of Ohio; two daughters, Ella Mae Holtzclaw, Stanford and Jean Johnson, Science Hill; three brothers, 
Ed Durham, Florence, and Fred and Oscar Durham, both of Florida; three sisters, Ella Mosley, Crab Orchard, Dottie Martin, Stanford, and Bessie Harris, Covington.  

Pallbearers were J. C. Martin, Hubert Pence, Sammy Pence, Delmas Petrey and Thomas Messer.

Funeral services were held Sunday, June 29 at the Fox Funeral Home with Virgil Horseman officiating. Burial was in Pine Grove Cemetery.

Howard Siler of Fountain, Ind., and Virgil Siler of Stanford Rt. 1; three step-daughters, Elizabeth Messer of Waynesburg, Ella Mae Holtzclaw and Phyllis Jean Johnson, 
both of Stanford; 36 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.  

Services were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Pine Grove Church of Christ Cemetery  with burial in church cemetery.  

Beazley- Raney-Speaks Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Bernard Anton Camenisch, 83, of 115 Lake View Road, Stanford, died Tuesday, July 2 at the Fort Logan Hospital.  

A native of Lincoln County, he was born Nov. 12, 1907 to the late John Camenisch and Amelia Hoehn Camenisch. He was a farmer, a member of the Stanford 
Presbyterian Church where he was an elder, former President of Lincoln County Farm Bureau and a member of American Jersey Cattle Association.  

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Cook Camenisch, Stanford; one son, Bernard Cook Camenisch, Stanford; two daughters, Mrs. John (Carolyn) Hughes of 
Arden, N. C., and Mrs. Kenneth (Susan) Eriksson of Blacksburg, VA; two brothers, Herman Camenisch of Madison, IN., and Carl Camenisch in La Grange; 
one sister, Mrs. Elmer (Anna) Stull, Stanford; 2 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  

Active pallbearers were Dan Grigson, Steve Howerton, Roy Lee Reichenbch, Lowell Atwood, David Campbell and Dickie Cooper. Honorary pallbearers were 
Henry Lair, Bill Fox, Hugh Helm, Richard Camenisch, Alvin Gander, Wallace Campbell, Marshall Schlappi, and Herman Schlappi.  

Funeral services were held Friday, July 5 at Fox Funeral Home with Rev. Lee Jennings officiating. Burial was in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

Elinor Nunnelley Camenisch, 81, of 254 Water Street, Stanford, died Saturday, Oct. 28 at the Fort Logan Hospital in Stanford.  

A native of Lincoln County, she was born Sept. 18, 1914 to the late Charles C. Nunnelley and Mildred Moore Nunnelley. She was a homemaker, 
curator of the Harvey Helm Historical Library, a member of the Stanford Presbyterian Church and the D. A. R., a graduate of Hustonville High School 
and Spencerian College in Louisville, and widow of Oscar Camenisch. She was also preceded in death by two sons, John Coleman and Adolph Charles Camenisch.  

Survivors include ten children, Johanna B. Camenisch of Louisville, Betsy C. Elliott of Stanford, Christian John Camenisch II of Washington D. C., 
Emelie C. Davis of Leoma, TN, Robert C. Camenisch of Stanford, Mildred C. Jordan of Ervin, Elinor N Camenisch-Felts of Stanford, J. B. 
Camenisch and Nancy E. Camenisch of Stanford, and Anna L. Camenisch of Albuquerque, NM.; 20 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.  

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 31 at the Stanford Presbyterian Church with Rev. Lee Jennings officiating. Burial was in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

Fox Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Oscar Camenisch, 72, of Water St., died Wednesday, May 27, at his residence of an apparent heart attack.  

A native of Lincoln County, he was born Jan. 6, 1909 to the late J. B. and Emily Bertha VanGruenigen Camenisch. He was a farmer and 
dairyman, member of Lincoln Lodge # 60 F. & A. M., and a member of the Stanford Presbyterian Church.  

Survivors include his wife Elinar (Elinor) Nunnelley Camenisch, Stanford; 3 sons, Christian J. Camenisch II, of Stanford. , Robert C. Camenisch, 
Hustonville, and J. B. Camenisch, Stanford. 7 daughters, Johanna C. Hounschelle, Louisville, Betsy C. Elliott, Stanford; Emily C. Davis, Detroit, Mich., 
Mildred C. Jordon, Irvin, Elinor C. Felts, Elkin N. C., Nancy C. Anderson, Killeen, Texas, Anna Lee Camenisch, Stanford; 11 grandchildren,

CAMPBELL, Carrie

Carrie Campbell, 92 of Navaho Trail, formerly of Waynesburg, died Wednesday at Ephriam McDowell Regional Medical Center. Born April 11, 1904 in Waynesburg, 
she was a daughter of the late Henry and Susan Singleton Caldwell. She was the widow of Jason Campbell. She was a retired Southern Railway agent 
and operated a grocery store in Waynesburg.  She was the oldest active member of First Baptist Church, Broadway.  

Survivors include a daughter, Josephine Stevens of Danville; a son, Jimmy Lee Campbell of Lexington; a sister, Rachel Wilson of Kings 
Mountain; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and two great-great- grandchildren.  

Pallbearers are Mark and Glen Campbell, Eddie and Ricky Stevens, James Lewis Wilson and Baker Williams. Honorary pallbearers are 
deacons at First Baptist Church and members of the Ruth Sunday School Class, Steve Tully, Larry Vaught, Eddie Tate, Tommy Minor, Marie Deskins, Jane McDowell Pixley.

Services will be held 1 p.m. Friday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home by the Rev. Tim Mathis. Burial will be in Double Springs Cemetery.

Mrs. Ellen Mays Campbell, 86, of Stanford, died Tuesday, December 19 at Buis Nursing Home.  

A native of Garrard County, she was a housewife, member of the Stanford Presbyterian Church, and member of the Euturpian Club. She was the 
widow of Bohon Campbell and daughter of the late James and Joan Cox Ball. She was born July 17, 1892.  

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Orderly (Martha) Doan and Mrs. James C. Harris, both of Stanford; 4 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.  

Funeral services will be held today at 2:30 p.m. at Beazley, Raney, Speaks Funeral Home with Rev. Daniel Clark officiating. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.  

Pallbearers will be James Reuben Harris, Steve Gooch, Hugh McCulley? Jr., Noel Campbell McGulley?, Ronnie Lowe and Hal Bastin.

Funeral services for Ernest W. Campbell, 73, of 711 Miller St., Stanford, who died Tuesday, Sept. 6, 1977 at the Central Baptist Hospital after a short illness, 
will be held today, Sept. 8, at 2 p.m. at the Morgan and Fox Funeral Home, Stanford. Rev. Greg Hancock will be in charge of services with burial at Buffalo Springs Cemetery.  

Born May 14, 1904, he was a retired employee of Delco Product- Division of General Motors, Dayton, Ohio. He was a veteran of WW II.  

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lillie Anderson Campbell of Stanford; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Kennedy, West Carrolton, Ohio, Mrs. Elizabeth Anderson of Rushville, Ind. , 
Mrs. Lillian Smith of Lancaster and Mrs. Pauline Reed of Stanford; one brother, Hiram Campbell of Brodhead.

CAREY, Wilma Lee Wilcher  

Wilma Lee  Wilcher Carey, 47, of Danville Route 3, died Monday August 20 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center, Lexington, after a long illness.  

A Danville resident for 10 years, Mrs. Carey was formerly of Lincoln County. She was a disabled LPN and worked for 25 years, during which she was 
employed at Ephriam McDowell Memorial Hospital, Danville for 17 years.  

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Wilma Sharlene Brown of Hustonville, Miss Carolyn Jo Carey of Danville and Mrs. Loretta Gail Belcher of Somerset; a son, 
Kenneth Lee Carey of Danville; her mother, Mrs. Carrie Jones Wilcher of Danville, and three grandchildren.  

Services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday at W. L. Pruitt Funeral Home. The Rev. Lester Nash, assisted by the Rev. Howard Davenport, officiated. Burial was in Junction City.  

Active pallbearers were Scott Rogers, Hartford Boyle, Joe Cutter, Earl Carey, Carl Goode and D. C. Wilcher. Honorary pallbearers were Jane McDowell, 
Katherine Glover, Josephine Stevens, Opal McElroy, Anita Long and Betty Brinkley.

Gertrude Bell Carson, 93, of 816 Montclair Dr., Lexington (formerly of Hustonville) died Sunday February 16 at the Friendship House Nursing Home in Danville.  

A native of Dunnville, she was born Dec. 15, 1892. She was a housewife and a member of Hustonville Baptist Church and Hustonville Eastern Star (Past Worthy Matron). She was the widow of Mittie B. Carson.  

Survivors include 2 daughters, Mrs. Geneva Helm, and Mrs. Marjorie Weddle, both of Lexington.  

Pallbearers were Bill Jones, Burton Cochran, Ronnie Bell, Don Bell, Dan Riffe, Don Paul Bell, Raymond Terrell, and Charles Snow.  

Funeral services were held Wednesday, February 19 at the Fox Funeral Home with Rev.

Paul Champion officiating. Burial was in a Hustonville Cemetery.

Fox Funeral Home handled all the arrangements.

Carl A. Carter, Jr., 81, of Stanford died Thursday, Jan. 11 at the UK Medical Center in Lexington.  

A native of Lincoln Co., he was born July 3, 1919 to the late Carl A. and Lucy Lee Walton Carter. He was a WW II Army Veteran, lifetime member of Danville VFW Post # 3634, 
member of the Stanford American Legion and International Typographical Union, a retired newspaper press operator and a Kentucky Colonel.  

He is preceded in death by a brother, Bill Cook Carter.  

Survivors include his wife, Mildred Sprinkles Carter; one son, Brad Carter of Stanford; one brother, Ed Carter of Wilmore; one grandson, Bobby Ray Carter of Stanford; 
one granddaughter, Susan R. Carter of Nashville, TN; two great grandchildren; two nieces, Nancy Ball and Mary Ann Pulliam; and two nephews, Eddie Ray Carter and Billy Cook Carter.  

Funeral services were held Friday, Jan. 12 at the Camp Nelson National Cemetery in Jessamine Co., with service officer, Robert Taylor officiating.  

Active pallbearers were Jerry Rhodes, George "Tubby" Carpenter, Roger Wilson, William Eubank, Robert Taylor and Ronald "Buckwheat" Gilbert. Honorary pallbearers were members of the VFW Post # 3634.  

Military rites were conducted by Caswell Saufley Post # 18 of the American Legion. Presentation of flag was by Commander Charles Edward Lawson and Quarter Master Charles "Buddy" Elliott.

Stanford (spl.) - Services for Carl A. Carter, Sr., 81 of Portsmouth, Ohio, formerly of Stanford and a native of Lincoln County, were held at 2 p.m. today at the Morgan and 
Fox Funeral Home in Stanford with the Rev. Ron Anstead officiating. Burial was in the Buffalo Springs Cemetery 

Carter died Saturday in the Portsmouth hospital following a short illness. He was a retired salesman and a member of the Stanford Christian Church. He was the son of the late Boney D. and Susan Goode Carter.  

Survivors include three sons, Edward of Stanford, Carl Jr. of Stanford, and Billy of Portsmouth, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Della Ethel Carter, 79, or Rt. 1, Waynesburg, died Sunday, October 18 at the Fort Logan Hospital, after a long illness.  

A native of Pulaski County, she was born March 14, 1902 to the late Deniza Ann Singleton and Emmitt Griffin. She was a homemaker and attended the Church of God.  

Survivors include her husband, William McKinley "Bill" Carter, Waynesburg; two sons, Mr. Garriet Carter, Slemp, Ky., and Mr. Harold Carter of Louisville; one brother, 
Samuel Griffin, Birmingham, Ala.,; 8 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.  

Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 20 at the Morris and Hislope Chapel with the  Rev. A. F. Atwood officiating. Burial was in Singletown Cemetery.

Edgar Carter, 65, Waynesburg, died Friday, September 26 in Fort Logan Hospital after a short illness.  

He was born in Lincoln County on Feb. 6, 1915 to the late H W. and Addie Thompson Carter. He was a farmer.  

He leaves two brothers, Hassee Carter, Waynesburg, and Beckham Carter, Somerset; two sisters, Elizabeth Osborne, Eubank, and Gladys Smith of Ashland.  

Services were held at 2 p.m., Sunday at Barnett Funeral Home with the Rev. Clyde W. Rhea officiating. Burial was in Olive Cemetery.

Harry H. Carter, 91, of Lexington, died Saturday, Nov. 16 1985 in Lexington.  

He was a native of Lincoln County and a retired insurance agent. He was the son of Jim and Iva Carter  

Funeral services were held Monday in Lexington with burial in Buffalo Springs Cemetery in Stanford.  

He is survived by his wife of more than 70 years, Effie Baughman Carter of Lexington; two daughters, Mrs. Florence Wood of Cleves, Ohio and Mrs. Charles 
Wendelken of Lyndon, Ky.; a son, Harry H. Carter Jr. of Riverside, Calif.; seven grandchildren, several great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Homer B. Carter, 49, of Crab Orchard, who was suffering from gunshot wounds after a shooting on Sept 19, died Thursday at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.  

Mr. Carter, who was shot at the home of Ed Hoskins of Crab Orchard, had been in the hospital since the incident. Hoskins has been charged with the 
shooting and wounding, with intent to kill and released from the Lincoln County Jail on bond.  

A Pulaski County native, Mr. Carter was born July 5, 1925 and was the son of Mr. and Mrs. William (McKinley) (Della Griffin) Carter of Waynesburg, Route 1. He was 
the husband of Mrs. Inez Dyehouse Carter of Crab Orchard, a factory worker and a World War II Navy Veteran.  

He is also survived by two sons, Larry of Stanford and Randy Carter of Crab Orchard; two brothers, Harold Lee of Louisville and Garris Carter of Waynesburg; and two grandchildren.  

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Chapel of Barnett Funeral Home by the Rev. James K. Adams. Burial was in the Buffalo Springs Cemetery, Stanford.

CARTER, Hopie Edith Logue  

Hopie Edith Logue Carter, 75, of Lexington, formerly of South Fork, died Monday, July 31 at her home.  

A native of Mercer Co., she was born Sept. 13, 1924 to Harrison Terrence and Lydia Camden Logue. She was a musician, homemaker, member of South Fork Baptist Church, Kentucky 
Colonel, and widow of Huite L. Carter, Sr.  She was also a past president of the McKinney Homemakers and founding member of the Fork and Mountain Homemakers Organization.  

Survivors include three sons, Huite Carter, Jr of Springsboro, OH., Jeff Carter of Lexington, and Randy Carter of Indianapolis, IN.; three daughters, Fannie Lou Logue 
Southerland of Danville, Ella Mae Logue Burns of Springfield, and Hallie Dee Logue Lanham of Danville, six grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.  

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Aug 2 at the Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford with Rev. Bob Kuiper officiating. Burial was in the Buffalo Springs Cemetery.  

Active pallbearers were Billy Burns, Sammie Burns, Eddie Lanham, Ross Lanham, Kenny Carpenter, Warren Carpenter, Elmer C. Burns, and Robert Bowen.

Hopie Edith Logue Carter, 75, South Fork, Kentucky, formerly of Nicholasville and Crain Town, Kentucky, widow of Huite Lee Carter, Sr., has departed after a long illness.  

Mrs. Carter lived a fulfilling life that was express through her love of and dedication to God and her family. Mrs. Carter devoted a great portion of her life to her music 
and lyrics for many gospel songs, as well as performed them at various locations and on Radio programs throughout Kentucky. In addition to her own performances, 
she was honored by the performance of her music by the Kentucky House of Representatives for her talents and contributions to music in the state of Kentucky.

Hopie Edith Logue Carter was an active member of the South Fork Baptist Church and past member of Nicholasville Baptist Church in Nicholasville, Kentucky. 
She was also a member of the Honorable Order of the Kentucky Colonels, past president of the McKinney Homemakers, and founding 
member of the Fork and Mountain Homemakers organization.  

She is preceded in death by her father, Harrison Terrance Logue, her mother, Lydia Camden Logue; brothers, Hobart Logue and Elmer Logue; sisters, Fronia Logue 
Webb, Virginia Logue Barnes, Faye Logue Hornsby, Gertrude Logue Milburn and Florence Logue Carpenter.

She is survived by her three sons, Huite L. Carter, Jr., Jeffrey Byron Carter, and Randy Logue Carter; three daughters in law, Deborah Tevis Carter, Lora Shaffer 
Carter, and Lisa Fluty Carter; six grandchildren, Patrick, Ryan, Andrew Harrison, Debora Allison, Shelby Marie, Alex Logue and Macy Elizabeth Carter; 
three sisters, Fannie Lou Logue Southerland, Ella Mae Logue Burns, and Hallie Dee Logue Lanham and many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Hopie Edith Logue Carter will be remembered by her love, tenderness and care she gave to others during her life.

Huite L. Carter Sr., 61 of 4445 South Fork Road, Hustonville, died Thursday July 19, at the Fort Logan Hospital in Stanford.  

A native of Lincoln County, he was born June 15, 1929 to Denver Carter and Virginia Reed Carter. He was a retired U. S. Postal Service employee in 
Lexington and a member of McKinney Baptist Church, McKinney Masonic Lodge # 631 F & AM and a veteran of the Korean War.  

Survivors include his wife, Edith Logue Carter; three sons, Huite L. Carter Jr. of West Carrollton, Ohio, Jeffrey Byron Carter of Greenville, S.C., and Randy Logue 
Carter of Indianapolis; two brothers, Lowell Carter of Norwood, Ohio and Gordon (Dewey) Carter of Dayton; three sisters, Winifred Carpenter of Danville, Hilda 
Whalen of Versailles and Charlotte Self of Lexington; and three grandchildren.  

Active pallbearers were Raymond, Mike, Tommy and Butch Carter, Gary Rogers and Charles Carpenter. Honorary pallbearers were Jay Plummer Johnson,

Covington, KY., August 16 - Miss Jessie J. Carter, 77, 1200 Highway Avenue, Covington, Kentucky, passed away on August 16 at the Woodspoint Nursing Home. after a long illness.  

A native of Stanford, Kentucky, she was born on October 14, 1904, worked for 40 years at the Ramey Cafeteria, and was a member of the Madison Avenue Baptist Church.  

She is survived by one nephew, James Carter, Covington; and one brother, Thomas Carter of California.  

Funeral services were held at 9:00 a. m., Thursday, August 19, 1982 at Allison and Rose Funeral Home, Covington, with graveside services Thursday, August 19, at 1:00 p.m., 
at the Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery, with Dr. John Carter officiating.

Morgan and Fox Funeral Home was in charge of the local arrangements.

Larry Dean Carter, 51, of 3206 Ky Hwy. 39 S., Crab Orchard, died Thursday, Nov 30 at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center in Lexington.  

A native of Stanford, he was born March 18, 1949 to Inez Dyehouse Carter of Crab Orchard and the late Homer V. Carter He was a maintenance 
foreman at the William Whitley House State Park, a 28 year employee of the Kentucky Department of Parks and Recreations, and a member of the Crab Orchard Christian Church.  

Other survivors include his wife LeDonna Marie Miracle Carter of Crab Orchard; one daughter, LaTonya Anderson of Crab Orchard, one son, Steven B. 
Anderson of Crab Orchard; one brother, Randy Carter of Crab Orchard; and four granddaughters, LaKayla and Angel Anderson and Holly Ann and Jessica Lynn Carter.  

Funeral services were held Friday, Dec 1, at the McKnight- Martin Funeral Home with Bro. John Lowry officiating. Burial was in the Crab Orchard Cemetery.  

Active pallbearers were Steven Carter, Randall Lee Carter, Chris Carter, Gary Anderson, Bill Dyehouse, and Jerry Shelton.

Miss Lois E. Carter, 66, of 103C Star Avenue, Stanford, died September 22, 1982 at her residence, suddenly.  

She was born December 26, 1915, Evansville, Indiana, to the late Myrtle Hughes and Ernest Carter.

She was a member of the Stanford Christian Church.

She is the sister of the late Earl T. Carter.

She is survived by one sister-in-law, Mrs. Betty Carter; and one niece, Julie Ann Carter, both of Stanford.  

Graveside services were held Friday, 3 p.m. September 24 at the Buffalo Springs Cemetery. Rev. Oscar Mayes, Jr. officiated.

Funeral services for Loranza Carter, 79, of Eubank, Route 3, who has relatives in Waynesburg was held Wednesday Afternoon at Morris and 
Hislope Funeral Home in Science Hill. Burial was in Eubank Cemetery.  

Mr. Carter died Monday, April 10 at the Lake Cumberland Medical Center following a long illness. He was a retired school 
teacher and member of the Eubank Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife, Cora Justice Carter, eight children, including Cloa Fulton of Harrodsburg, three brothers, including Hassee 
and Edgar Carter, both of Waynesburg; two sisters and 18 grandchildren.

Lucy Lee Carter, 85, of Stanford died Tuesday, June 27 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington after a short illness.  

She was a member of the Stanford Christian Church and daughter of E. C. and Belle Cook Walton.  

Survivors include three sons, Edward and Billy Cook Carter of Stanford and Carl Carter, Jr. of Frankfort; 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.  

Funeral services will be held today, at 2:00 p.m. at Morgan and Fox Funeral Home with Rev. Oscar Mayes officiating . Burial will be at Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

Miss Mattie Mae Carter, 87, of Lancaster St., Stanford died March 5 at the residence of Mrs. Alieene Moore Buis of Route 2 Waynesburg.

Born Nov. 30, 1887 in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George W. Carter. A retired seamstress, she was a member of the 
Stanford Christian Church. She was preceded in death by a sister, Annie Belle Carter.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews.  

Services were conducted at the Beazley-Raney- Speaks Funeral Home Friday, March 7 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Ron Ansted 
officiating. Burial was in the Buffalo Springs Cemetery 

Morgan Sandidge, John L. Carter, Winston Stubbs, Bob Bill Baxter, Edward Ensslin and Glen Turner served as pallbearers.

Miss Maud Carter of Stanford died October 26 at Fort Logan Hospital after a long illness. She was a native of Lincoln County.  

She was a retired teacher for the deaf and a member of the Stanford Christian Church. She was the daughter of the late Peter Walter and Sara Elizabeth Hill Carter. 
She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, The National Society Magna Charta Dames. She taught in schools for the deaf for a number of years, 
was principal of the school for the deaf in North Dakota for five years, and the Kansas School for the deaf eight years, had charge of the Day School for the Deaf at Joliet, Illinois for 13 years.  

She is survived by four nieces and one nephew.  

Funeral services were Sunday, October 27, at 4 p.m. with services led by Bro. Ron Ansted. Burial was in Buffalo Springs Cemetery, Stanford.

Patricia White Carter, 73, of Hustonville, died Friday, Oct 26 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.  

A native of Lincoln Co., she was born July 8, 1926 to the late Nancy Nicholson White and Jack White. She was a housewife, member of Hustonville Baptist 
Church, and past state president of the Parent Teacher's Association of Kentucky and past president of the Moreland Homemakers Club.  

Survivors include her husband, Elwood Carter of Hustonville; two sons, Nick Carter of Russell and Mike Carter of Lancaster, one brother, 
Jack White of Lexington; and five grandchildren.  

Funeral services were held Monday, Oct 29 at the W. L. Pruitt Funeral Home in Moreland with Revs; Albert Gisler, Ernest Martin and 
Greg Nimmo officiating. Burial was in Hustonville Cemetery 

Active pallbearers were Jeff and Todd White, George Chidester, John Robertson, Bobby Jeffries, Tommy Davis, Steve Coffey, and Paul Long. Honorary 
pallbearers were Max Stephenson, David Campbell, Bennie Burris, Josh Douglas, Ralph Whitis, Tom Cochran, John Hester and Durward Jeffries.

Mr. Robert Carter, 33, of Stanford, Route 4 died Sunday, December 31, 1978 at his home.  

He was a native of Lincoln County, a farm laborer and a member of the Holiness Church.

He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Bula Lee Carter; four sisters, Mrs. Otis Phillips of Route 1, Hustonville, Kentucky; Mrs. Bessie Greer of Route 4, 
Stanford, Kentucky; Mrs. Helen Pruitt of Route 3, Stanford, Kentucky; and Mrs. Margaret Little of Chicago, Illinois.

Also surviving are two brothers, Phillip Carter of Kings Mountain Rt. 1, and John Neaves of Chicago, Ill.  

Funeral services were held Tuesday, at 2:30 p.m. at the Morgan and Fox Funeral Home with Reverend A. F. Atwood officiating.  

Burial at Buffalo Springs Cemetery with Brother Leonard Stevens officiating. 

Pallbearers were; Bobby Reed, Richard Floyd, Danny Coffman, Jimmy Floyd, Ray Floyd and Junior Russell.

William McKinley "Bill" Carter, 89 of Rt 1, Waynesburg, died Thursday April 17 at the

V A Hospital in Lexington.  

He was born in Louisa, Ky on Dec 8, 1896 to the late Ella Hayes and Richard Carter.

He was a farmer and bridge repairman for the state highway and Singletontown Church of God. He was also an Army veteran of WWI.  

Survivors include two sons, Garriest "Doodie" Carter of Slemp, Ky., and Harold Carter of Rt. 1, Waynesburg; and 3 half sisters, Alma Morton, Cannonsburg, Ky, and 
the other two living in Williamson, W.Va.; eight grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.  

Funeral services were held Saturday, April 19 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Rev. Adlai F. Atwood officiating. Burial was in Singletontown Cemetery.

Lincoln County, she was a daughter of John and Betty Lou Reynolds Allen . She was a homemaker and a member of Floyd Switch House of Prayer.  

Additional survivors include two sons, Calvin Wall of Stanford and Pat Wall of Lancaster; two daughters, Tina Reynolds of Lancaster and Lisa Ryan of Stanford; a brother, 
Victor Gastineau, McKinney; a sister Elsie Frederick, Kings Mountain; and eight grandchildren.  

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Floyd Switch House of Prayer by the Rev. A. F. Atwood.

Burial will be in Gooch Cemetery.

Matrie Carter Coffman, 72, of Rt. 1 Hustonville, died Friday, January 10 at the Fort Logan Hospital.  

A native of Casey County, she was born July 17, 1912 to the late O. W. and Nanny Lucas Carter. She was a retired store owner and a housewife. She was a 
member of Geneva Baptist Church and the widow of Orville Cecil Coffman.  

Survivors include a son, Lowell Coffman, Lexington; 2 daughters, Connie Henderson, Hustonville and Betty Eaves, Lancaster; 1 sister, Maxine 
Aileen Markham, Jackson, Mich.; and 5 grandchildren.  

Pallbearers were Travis Henderson, Darren Henderson, Mark Henderson, Charles Markham, Kenneth Eaves, Jeffrey Frey and Marlon Austin.  

Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 13 at the Fox Funeral Home with Bro. Lewis Walters officiating. Burial was in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

Roscoe Coleman, 79, of Cincinnati, Ohio, a former resident of Lincoln County, died Monday, June 4 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati after a long illness.  

A retired Southern Railway employee, he was a member of Mount Washington Masonic Lodge and was a  Presbyterian.  

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Lloyd Sowers of Oshkosh, Wis., Mrs. Eva Coffman of Danville and Mrs. Norma Harmon of Louisville; three sons, 
Laurel of Stanford, Donald of Louisville and William L. Coleman of Texas; two brothers, Raymond of Cincinnati and Ernest Coleman of Kings 
Mountain; 17 grandchildren and 12 great- grandchildren.  

Services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday at George H. Rhodes and Sons Funeral Home in Cincinnati. Burial was in Cincinnati.

John Combs, 90, of 9440 Somerset Road, Waynesburg, died Friday, May 10 at the Fort Logan ECU.  

A native of Perry County, he was born Dec. 13, 1900 to the late Ira Jesse Combs and Artie M. Davidson Combs. He was a retired farmer, veteran of World War I, 
and a member of Pleasant Point Baptist Church. He was the widower of Laura Ward Combs. 

Survivors include two sons, Gary Combs of Waynesburg and Jesse Dwayne Combs of Huber Heights, OH; one sister, Nora Jones of Dayton, OH; 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.  

Funeral services were held Monday, May 13 at the Barnett and Demrow Funeral Home with Sister Oveta Mitchell officiating. Burial was in Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Highland.

Military honors were performed by Caswell Saufley Post # 18.

Boyle County Coroner, Dr. James Ramey ruled the death of Mildred Agnes Henry Conatser, 39, of Junction City, Route 1, an apparent suicide from carbon 
Monoxide poisoning. She was found in her car at her home.  

Services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home. Burial was in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

Mrs. Conaster was secretary to the vice president-treasurer at Centre College.  

She is survived by her grandmother, Gertrude Henry of Stanford in addition to other survivors.  

Active pallbearers were Jimmy Kennety, (Misprint?) Troy Henry, Steve Terry, Jerry and Tim Goode and Jeff Hogue.

Honorary pallbearers were Ed Ball, Bing Walter, Henry Lewis, Barry Dixon, Tom Bryant and Rick Nahm.

Jamie Mac Coontz, 27, of 209 Whitley Ave., Stanford, died Wednesday, Jan. 1, as a result of smoke inhalation at a barn fire on Knob Lick Road in Stanford.  

A native of Lincoln County, he was born Feb. 11, 1964 to Jackie Gordon Coontz and Lavaughn Bastin Coontz, He was a construction worker for Deshorine Construction Co., Louisville.  

Other survivors include one daughter, Crystal Christina Coontz, Dallas, GA; step mother, Marie Coontz, Stanford; maternal grandparents, J. C. and Freida Bastin, 
Stanford; one brother, Dwight Coontz, Danville; half brother, Scott Holloway, Stanford; step brother, Mike Saunders, Ackworth {Acworth}, GA; and one sister, Tisha Coontz, Stanford.  

Funeral services were held Friday, January 3 at the Fox Funeral Home with Rev. Tom O'Brian officiating. Burial was in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

Johnie Coontz, 81, of 446 Cresent Dr., Danville, Ky. formerly of Stanford, died at the VA Hospital on Leestown Road, Lexington.  

A native of Casey County, he was born Oct. 10, 1907 to the late Willie Coontz and Florence Conatser Coontz. He was a retired farmer, a member of 
Harrodsburg Pentecostal Church and a U. S. Navy Veteran of WWII.  

Survivors include his wife, Ola Anderson Coontz of Danville; two sons, Johnie Coontz, Danville and Robert G. Coontz of Chattanooga, TN. ; 
three daughters, Dorothy Johnson, Danville, Glenda Withrow, Modesto, CA. and Mary Ann Wray of Danville; two sisters, Sarah Tillett, McKinney and Pina VonLinger, 
Stanford; one step brother, Earl Estes, McKinney; one step sister, Olin Owens, McKinney; 15 grandchildren and 14 great- grandchildren.  

Graveside military services were performed by Boyle and Caswell Saufley American Legion Posts.  

Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 26 at the Harrodsburg Pentecostal Church with Bro. Bobby Potts officiating. Burial was in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

Fox Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

A native of Lincoln County, she was born March 16, 1903 to the late William Thomas and Elizabeth Adams Plummer. She was a retired L. P. N. at Kings Daughters 
Hospital in Frankfort and a member of First Christian Church in Frankfort, Ky. She was the widow of Hume Crumbaugh.  

Survivors include a brother, James Plummer of Stanford; a sister, Mary Bruce Naylor, Lawrenceburg and 4 nieces and 8 nephews.  

Funeral serviced were held Monday, May 23 at the Fox Funeral Home with Rev. Morris Trayner officiating. Burial was in Frankfort Cemetery in Frankfort, Ky.

A native of Casey County, she was born July 11, 1915 to the late George and Ida Vaught Mullins. She was a homemaker.  

Survivors include her husband, John Curtsinger, two sisters, Lois Goode of Moreland and Maggie Spaulding of Hustonville, a stepsister, Rosie Mullins of 
Hustonville; and a stepdaughter, Margaret Curtsinger of England.  

Funeral services were held Friday, Nov. 24, at the W. L. Pruitt Funeral Home with Greg Nimmo officiating. Burial was in Moreland Cemetery.
