Alphine Capps of College Corner, Ohio,
passed away on Sept. 15, 2005, at home.
She was born on April 16, 1942, in Hyden, Ky., to Homer and Mary
Roberts.
She was the beloved wife of Robert Capps. Alphine was a creative
gardener and her talents are beautifully displayed in the sanctuary she
created in her yard. She gave much to those around her and will be
greatly missed.
Alphine is survived by her husband, Robert Capps; one sister, Hazel
Gilbert and her husband George of Oxford; two brothers, Tole Roberts
and his wife Linda of Oxford, Don Roberts and his wife Sharlene of
Nashville, Tenn.; and sister-in-law, Callie Roberts of College Corner.
She also leaves three children, Darlene Davidson and her husband David
of Hamilton, William Wilson and his wife Deborah of Millington, Tenn.,
Robin Witt and her husband Kelly of Indianapolis; stepdaughters, DeeDee
Hayes and her husband Roy, Lori Sanchez, Mary Coleman and her husband
Keith, Bobbie Hester and her husband Joey, and Cindy Light and her
husband Rick, all of Indianapolis; 13 grandchildren and nine
great-grandchildren.
Alphine was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Ruby Edwards;
and two brothers, Rufus Roberts and Cliff Roberts.
Funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 19, 2005, at the Smith &
Ogle Funeral Home, Oxford. Burial was in the Oxford Cemetery.
