ROY CECIL WOOLUM, 79, of Gray, passed away Tuesday, August 10, 1999 at his home. He was a veteran of World War II. He went to Washington D.C. as secretary to Congressman J.M. Robinson of Barbourville, served under Congressman Jim Golden, Eugene Siler, and retired as administrative assitant to Congressman Jim Lee Carter, House of Representatives in Washington D.C. He was preceded in death by his parents, James A. and Rebecca Woolum, and his first wife, Geraldine McKeehan Woolum. Survivors include his wife, Druscilla Higgins Woolum of Gray. Funeral services were conducted in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, August 12 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Roy Mitchell officiating. Burial followed in the Pine Hill Cemetery. Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
