Douglas Ray Woolum

Douglas Ray Woolum, 39, of Barbourville, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2002 in the Knox County Hospital. He was the son of Elmer Ray and Vernece "Mills" Woolum, born to them August 19, 1962 in Pineville. On September 4, 1986, he was united in marriage with Susan Dye and to this union three children were born. Mr. Woolum was a member of the Horn Branch Baptist Church and was a truck driver. He is survived by his wife, Susan Woolum, of Barbourville; his parents, Elmer Ray and Vernece Woolum, of Barbourville; one son, Charles Douglas Ray Woolum; two daughters Natasha Michelle Woolum and Tiffany Brooke Woolum, all of Barbourville; one stepdaughter, Ashley Elaine Dye, also of Barbourville. Funeral services for Mr. Woolum were conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, April 15, 2002 with the Rev. Lonnie Collett, the Rev. Bobby Lawson, the Rev. Columbus Hensley officiating. Mr. Woolum was laid to rest in the Mills Cemetery at Mills. Hampton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
