Wilburn WILSON

Wilburn 'Sap' Wilson, 70, of Barbourville, formerly of Cubbage, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2007 at his home. He was born in Cubbage on Aug. 22, 1937, a son of the late Selby and Roxie Wilder Wilson. He was a Christian and had worked in the lumber industry at a sawmill. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister and brothers, Ada Dennis, Floyd Wilson, Barnett Wilson and Colson Wilson. Survivors include his sisters, Hazel Woods of Bird Branch, Joyce Knuckles of Belleville, Ohio and Ruth Jones of Beaver Creek, Ohio and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Services were at 2 p.m. Sunday at Arnett &Steele Funeral Home with Rev. Denvil Taylor. Burial was in Cubbage Cemetery at Cubbage. Nephews served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Bob and Rev.
