Estelene WILSON
Mrs. Estelene "Jackie" Wilson, 85, of Lexington, formerly of Louisville, passed away Thursday, November 16, 2006 at her home. She was a daughter of the late Garrard and Effie Epperson Patterson born on August 31, 1921 at Heidrick. Mrs. Wilson was a retired sales clerk from Sears in Louisville and was a member of the Eastern Star. She was of the Baptist faith and during her years in Knox County attended the Highland Park Baptist Church at Heidrick. She was an avid UK fan and in earlier years enjoyed bowling. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Byron G. Wilson; two sisters, Geneda P. Price and Juanita Smith; and three stepsons, Paul B., Charles Millard and Ralph E. Wilson. Survivors include a sister, Evelene P. Brown and husband, Charles, of Southgate, MI; a brother, W. J. Patterson and wife, Sharron, of Girdler; two step grandchildren; four step great grandchildren; five nieces and nephews; and a host of friends who mourn her passing. Her funeral service was conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Sunday, November 19 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Dennis Chesnut officiating. Mrs. Wilson was laid to rest in the Patterson Cemetery at Heidrick. Casket bearers were Brandon Mills, Jeff Washam, Jim Smith, Kevin Sample, Ryan Wilson, Cody Wilson and Cameron Sample. Honorary bearers were Ralph Wilson, Connor Preston Wilson and Joe Patterson. Expressions of sympathy may go to the Patterson Cemetery Fund, P. O. Box 552, Heidrick, KY 40949.
