Ora Mae Howard White

Ora Mae Howard White, 67, of Artemus, passed away Sunday, Sept. 11, 2005 in Jewish Hospital in Louisville. She was a daughter of the late John Miles and Martha Orick Miles Murphy and the stepdaughter of the late John Henry Murphy. She was a member of Artemus Baptist Church and a member of the Town and Country Homemakers and a former employee of the U.K. Extension Office in Knox County before she retired. Her husband, David B. Howard Sr., preceded her in death. Later she united in marriage to Ken White, who also preceded her in death. She is survived by her children, Danny Howard and wife Janice, Vickie Hobbs and husband Clinton and Lorri Smith; one daughter-in-law, Dawn Howard; grandchildren, Kristina and husband Brad, Aimee, Stacy, Amber, Derrick, Hannah, Haylee, Jenny and husband Jeremy, Angie and husband Doug, Shauna, Samantha and Steven; great grandchildren, Mia, Jack, Corri, Lane and Clinton; one sister, Teresa Carnes and husband Matthew; brothers, James Miles and wife Freeda and Lee Gilbert Murphy and wife Pat; sisters-in-law, Reva Murphy, Doris Miles and Bernice Marlow. Services were conducted in Hopper Funeral Home Chapel Wednesday, Sept. 14 with the Revs. B.F. Jackson and Rick Parton officiating. Burial was in the Howard Cemetery at Artemus. Hopper Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
