Wayne Kenneth "Buddy" Warf, 74, of Barbourville, was born on March 6, 1932 at Himyar, Ky. He was a son of the late William Henry Warf and Cora Lee Williams Warf. Mr. Warf died Saturday, Dec. 2, 2006 in Oak Tree Hospital in Corbin. He was a former employee of General Motors in Norwood, Ohio. Mr. Warf was a United States Army veteran and served during the Korean Conflict. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, William Douglas and Coleman Warf. Surviving Mr. Warf, his sister, Vesta Mae Davis and husband Ed and sister-in-law, Mary Warf, all of Himyar; his aunt, Ethel Gambrel of Cincinnati, Ohio and several beloved nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Wayne Kenneth "Buddy" Warf were conducted in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel Wednesday, Dec. 6 at 2 p.m. with Revs. Denvil Taylor and Steve Davis, and David Hopper officiating. Interment followed in the Farley Cemetery at Himyar with Rev. Steve Davis, Steve Miller, Robert Cooper, Arnold Hammons Jr., Billy Warf, Ronnie Warf and Henry Ed Black serving as pallbearers. Arrangements were under the direction of Hopper Funeral Home.
