Betty Turner Thomas Betty Ann Turner Thomas, 92, of Knox County, passed away Friday, Feb. 4, 2005 in Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin. She lived with her son and daughter-in-law, James and Donna Thomas. She was a daughter of the late Nathan and Sarah Ellen Shepherd Turner. Her husband, Roosevelt Thomas, preceded her in death. She attended the Pentecostal Church. She is survived by three daughters, Eula Mae Brown, Lula B. Storms and husband Donnie and Janice Vanover and husband Harold; five sons, James Thomas and wife Donna, Troy Thomas and wife Kathy, Taylor Thomas and wife Margaret, L.D. Thomas and wife Kathleen and Noah Gene Thomas; a daughter-in-law, Hazel Thomas; several grandchildren and several great grandchildren and several great, great, great grandchildren; four brothers, Joe Turner, Norris Turner, Mitchell Turner and Van Turner; one sister, Dana Smith Turner. Services were conducted Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2005 in Hopper Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. E.W. Yeager and Tommy Frazier officiating. Burial was in Thomas Cemetery at Bailey Switch. Hopper Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. |
