Charles TAYLOR

Mr. Charles Taylor, 52, of Walker, passed away Saturday afternoon, Jan. 7, 2006 in the Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin. He was a son of the late Roy and Ada Messer Taylor, born on March 16, 1953 at Mills.

Mr. Taylor was a member of the Walker Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening, ginsenging and flowers.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Loraine Taylor.

Survivors included his daughter, Trita Taylor Brown and husband Alvin of Walker; three sisters, Alene Smith and husband Ben of Middlesboro, Geraldine Messer and husband Truman of Walker and Imogene Hibbard and husband Willie of Winchester, Ind.; three brothers, Kenneth Taylor and wife Dorothy of Walker, Billy Ray Taylor and wife Debbie of Woollum and Johnny Taylor and wife Beverly of Walker; two grandchildren, Hannah Leigh and Mashayla Janay Brown; several nieces and nephews; among other loved ones and dear friends who mourn his passing.
His funeral service was conducted in Knox Funeral Home Chapel Tuesday, Jan. 10 at 1 p.m. with the Revs. Lonnie Collett and Ricky Broughton officiating. Mr. Taylor was laid to rest in the Taylor Cemetery at Woollum.

Casketbearers were family and friends. Honorary bearers were Dr. Carl, Dr. Morton and the staff of the Baptist Regional Medical Center.

Expressions of sympathy may go to the Knox County Cancer Patient Fund in loving memory of Mr. Taylor.

Arrangements were under the direction of Knox Funeral Home.
