| Spurlock, Virginia M. age 88 of Dayton, OH went to be with the Lord Sunday, December 2, 2007. Virginia was preceded in death by husband, Glenn Spurlock; 2 sons, Eugene and Laymon; and a loving daughter, Anna Boggs. Survived by her precious daughter, Helen Richardon; son, Wiley Spurlock; 1 brother, George Lester of Liberty, IN; and Dorothy Gamble of Flat Lick, KY. Virginia was a wonderful grandmother to five generations of grandchildren, too numerous to name. Her helping hands were always there when needed even to raise her grandchildren, including Jesse Spurlock, Krisandra Miles, and a very special great-grandson, who shared her life until present, Rickey Dennis Jr. Virginia was raised in Pineville, KY by the late Annie and Willie Lester and was a retiree of the East Dayton Meat & Sausage Co. She was a hard working woman and a compassionate, caring lady who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. A celebration of Virginia's life will be 10:30 AM Thursday, December 6, 2007 at ROGERS' FUNERAL HOME, NEW LEBANON, with Pastor Stewart Lawson presiding. Interment will follow at Bearcreek Cemetery. Visitation hours will be at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, December 5, 2007. |
