Erskin David SPARKS

Erskin David Sparks, son of the late Bill and Lucille Sparks of Bailey Switch, passed away on April 15, 2006. He was 64 years old. He was the oldest son of 12 brothers and sisters. He graduated from Knox Central High School. He joined the Army and served in the Vietnam War. He married Mazie Perry of Tedders. Together they had five children: Kevin, Jeff, Vickie, Connie and Bonnie and nine grandchildren: Brynne, Mikki, Cassie, Cecily, Kevy, D.J., Taylor, Jakob and Brooke. He retired from General Motors after 32 years. He was living with his wife of 40 years in Westland, Mich. He was an umpire for 30 years with the Garden City Athletic Association. He was an avid Kentucky Wildcat fan. Memorial services were held Monday at the UHT Funeral Home in Westland, Mich. at 1 p.m. There was a viewing from 9 a.m. till 1 p.m. He loved his family very much and will be greatly missed.
