LESTER "Hoytt" SMITH, 72, Henry Barton Road, Corbin, passed away Friday morning, May 3, 2002 at his home. Survivors include his wife, Cora Ethel Smith of Henry Barton Road, Corbin; four daughters, Dora Ellen Lawson of Williamsburg, Doris Lynn Byrd and husband, Joe of Williamsburg, Anna Sue Reed and husband, Rob of Williamsburg and Sheila Dawn Burt and husband, Royce of Middleburg, Florida; three sons, James Lester Smith and wife, Sue of Stuart, Florida, Garey Smith and wife, Sandy of Bermuda Dunes, California and Paul David Smith and wife, Janie of Williamsburg; 20 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; his mother, Della Smith of Williamsburg; four brothers, Hesco Smith of Williamsburg, Howard Smith of Williamsburg, Keith Smith of Williamsburg and Kevin Smith of Williamsburg; six sisters, Gail Hall of Corbin, Ethel Mitchell of Florida, Jan Hamblin of Florida, Fran Myers of Florida, Madge McKeehan of Corbin, and Irma Roark of Williamsburg; also several nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Smith. Funeral services were held Sunday, May 5 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Darrell Hurst officiating. Burial was in the Cumberland Freewill Church Cemetery. Croley Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. |
