Judy Ann SMITH

Mrs. Judy Ann Brown Smith, 44, of Flat Lick, Ky. departed this life on Friday-September 1, 2006 at her home. She was the wife of Wendell Smith and the daughter of the late Dewey and Myrtle Stansbury Brown born to them November 9, 1961 in Knox County, Ky. Mrs. Smith was a member of the Salem Baptist Church. Her parents, Dewey and Myrtle Brown; one sister, Wyoma Brown; and two brothers, Denver Brown and Chester Brown, preceded her in death.

Survivors include: Her Husband: Wendell Smith of Flat Lick, Ky. One daughter: Chasidy Smith and fiance Matthew Johnson of Flat Lick, Ky. One son: Justin Smith and fiance Kendra Bingham of Flat Lick, Ky. One stepson: Wendell Lynn Hobbs and wife Melanie of Woolum, Ky. Four sisters: Elaine Gray and husband Garrett of Flat Lick, Ky., Gladys Hobbs and Dempsey of Scalf, Ky., Barbara Sue Gray of Flat Lick, Ky., Christine Brown and David Bunch of Hickory's Corner, Michigan. Three brothers: Dewey Brown and Jacqueline of Scalf, Ky., Gary Wayne Brown of LaGrange, Ky., Harvey Brown and wife Melinda of Scalf, Ky. One half brother: M.D. Brown of Barbourville, Ky. Two very special nephews: Randy Dinky Hobbs and Tommy Sizemore. One grandson: Hayden Hobbs. Mrs. Smith also leaves behind an unborn grandchild due in February, in addition to a host of family and friends to mourn her passing.

Funeral services for Mrs. Smith were conducted on Tuesday-September 5, 2006 at 2 p.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Russell Jones and Rev. Bobby Abner officiating. Pallbearers were Mrs. Smith's nephews: David Hobbs, Randy Hobbs, B.J. Gray, Denver Brown, Dewey Brown, Jr., Tommy Sizemore, Abe Smith, Allen Dewayne Smith and Chester Sizemore. Honorary pallbearers were family and friends in addition to the Professional Home Health Nurses. Burial followed in the Mud Lick Cemetery in Dewitt, KY.
