Barbara Jean SIMPSON

Mrs. Barbara Jean Simpson, 50, of Dewitt, Kentucky, formerly of Artemus, passed away at Oak Tree Hospital in Corbin, KY Sunday-March 4, 2007. She is the daughter of the late Lee Ellis and Linda Collins born to them August 11, 1956 at Pineville Community Hospital. She was a member of the Coal Port Holiness Church Mrs. Simpson was preceded in death by her parents, Lee Ellis and Linda Mae Collins, Grandmother Tina Collins, Grandfather Lee Pascal Collins, and a very special friend Bobby Dean Barnette. Survivors include: One daughter: Linda Lee Graster and husband John Chirstopher of Middlesboro, Ky; Two sons: Gregory Simpson of Dewitt, KY Larry Wayne Simpson and wife Tammy Kay of Laurel, County, KY; Two sisters: Betty Lou Ramey of Fredericktown, MO ; Gladys Heinz of Indiana; One brother: Leland Ellis of St. Louis, MO; Grandchildren: Dakota Lee Spencer, Amber Noel Simpson, Robin Nicole Mills, Casey Garland, Ticie Garland, Josh Garland, and Bobby Paul Garland in addition to two nieces Brandy Lee Ramey and children; and Lacy Danielle Morgan. Mrs. Simpson also leaves behind a host of friends and relatives to mourn her passing. Funeral services for Mrs. Simpson were conducted on Thursday-March 8, 2007 at 2 p.m. at the Hampton Funeral Home with the Rev. Roe Gibson officiating. Pallbearers were family and friends. Burial followed in the Van Cemetery at Coal Port, KY. Hampton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
