Carl Dennis Rogers Carl Dennis Rogers, 69, of Barbourville, a son of the late Hugh and Martha Ray Rogers, passed away Sunday, Nov. 14, 2004 in Knox County Hospital. He was a former deputy jailer for the Knox Fiscal Court and a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. He also served in the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife, Loretta Mills Rogers; three sons, Dennis Rogers and wife Joyce, Mark Rogers and wife Sandra and Kevin Rogers; one daughter, Debbie Lambert and husband Gary; six grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley Jones and husband Larry and Opal Poindexter; his sisters-in-law, Lorene Townsley and husband Frank, Lois Penn and Linda Elam and husband Mike; his brothers-in-law, Lawrence Mills and wife Tracy, Edward Burton and wife Sue and Lee Mills and wife Debbie. Services were conducted Friday, Nov. 19 in Hopper Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Dennis Chesnut and William Wolfe officiating. Burial was in Nan-Riley Cemetery at Woollum. Hopper Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. |
