She was born on January 9, 1935 in Knox County, KY to the late Briscoe and Ora Mae (Woods) Helton. Mrs. Riggs was preceded in death by her husband Joe Riggs, Jr.; daughter Mary Sue Kennedy, and 3 brothers. She is survived by 5 daughters Rita (Mike) Custer of Greenville, Patricia Ann (Doyle) Campbell, Ora Mae Peer both of Arcanum, Donna Bergman of Brookville, and Tammy (Terry) Newman of Laura; a son James E. Riggs of Brookville; 11 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren; 2 sisters Wilma (Herman) Watkins of Tennessee and Zola Peters of Kentucky; 2 brothers James and Reed Bradford both of Kentucky. Graveside funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Wednesday 11/22/06 at the Primitive Baptist Church (Sunrise) Cemetery of Davis Chapel, La Follette, TN. There will be no public visitation. Kreitzer Funeral Home, Arcanum in charge of the arrangements. |
