Gladys McKEEHAN REEVES Mrs. Gladys McKeehan Reeves, 68, of Barbourville, passed away Monday, June 19, 2006 in Central Baptist Hospital. She was a daughter of the late Easom and Leona Miller McKeehan born on Feb. 5, 1938 in Knox County. Mrs Reeves was a member of the Old Poplar Creek Baptist Church. On July 8, 1953, she united inmarriage with Robert Reeves in Detroit and to this union three children were born. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Darrel Reeves and a brother, Walter McKeehan. Survivors include her husband, Robert Reeves, of Barbourville; a son, Tim Reeves and wife Donna, of Barbourville; a daughter, Sharon Cole, of Edgewoood, Ky.; a special grandchild, Tracy Hubbard, of Barbourville; two sisters, Hazel Matlock and husband Everett, of Bryants Store, Thelma Powers of Mud Creek, Ky.; two brothers, Junior McKeehan and wife Giney, of Bryants Store, Charles McKeehan and wife Rita of Louisville, Ky.; seven grandchildren; among other loved ones and dear friends who mourn her passing. Her funeral service was conducted in Knox Funeral Home Friday, June 23, 2006 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Ed Walker officiating. Mrs Reeves was laid to rest in Evans Cemetery at Barbourville. Casketbearers were Bradley Reeves, Mike Cornett, Ted McKeehan, Larry McKeehan, Scott Cole and Josh Reeves. Honorary bearers were Scott Reeves, Bobby Reeves, Adam Reeves, Tim Ryan Reeves, Jason Reeves and Robert Wyatt. Friends called at the funeral Home Thursday between 6 and 9 p.m. and Friday after 9 a.m. until the funeral hour. Arrangements were under the direction of Knox Funeral Home. |
