MARY ELIZABETH TONEY RAINS, 74, Homestead, Florida, formerly of Williamsburg, passed away Saturday, April 13, 2002 in Miami, Florida. She is survived by one son, Jerry Rains; four daughters, Margie Iglesias of Leisure City, Florida, Connie Lay of Winchester, Ohio, Jenny Clark of Anderson Township, Ohio and Pamela Rains of Reading, Ohio; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; one brother, Edward Toney of Fort Wayne; four sisters, Katherine Raines of Conyers, Georgia, Martha Lifford of Conyers, Georgia, Trudy Jones of Toledo, Ohio and Elsie Mae Bennett of Texas; as well as a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ottis Rains and a brother, Joseph H. Toney. Funeral services were held Thursday, April 18 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Fred Powers officiating. Burial was in the Young Cemetery. Croley Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. |
