Ruth Porter Keavy October 17, 2003 Ruth Ann Porter, 62, of Keavy, passed away Friday, Oct. 17, 2003 at Baptist Regional Medical Center. She attended church at the Church of Christ. Her parents, Isaac and Maude Monhollen, preceded her in death. Her survivors include her husband, Chasteen J. Poynter of Keavy; one daughter, Vicki Joseph and her husband Wayne of Viper; her grandchildren, Robin Guffey, Elisha Joseph and Benjamin Joseph, all of Viper, and Robbie Poynter and Bobbie Poynter, both of Williamsburg; one great-grandchild, Hannah Guffey of Viper; two sisters, Brenda Evans and Betty Freedman, both of Corbin; and two brothers, Nick Monhollen and Jerry Monhollen, both of Corbin. She also leaves behind other family members and many friends to mourn her passing. Funeral services will be conducted at noon today Monday at the Hart Funeral Home chapel with Tim Shepherd and Matthew Dixon officiating. Interment will follow in the Locust Grove Cemetery. The Poynter family received friends Sunday. The family has entrusted the Hart Funeral Home with all arrangements. Notice entered Monday, October 20, 2003. |
