Shirley M. Perkins, 61, Highway 92 West, Jellico Creek Community, Williamsburg, passed away Thursday, July 25, 2002 at her home. She was a member of the Ryans Creek Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, R.L. Perkins of Hwy. 92 West, Williamsburg; two sons, David Perkins and wife, Patty of Hwy. 92 West, Williamsburg and Scott Perkins and wife, Rhonda of Dallas, Georgia; three grandchildren, Landon Perkins, Matthew Perkins and Sarah Perkins; five sisters, Wilma Lester, Doris Hamlin, Carol Meadors Rose, and Wanda Schroeder, all of Williamsburg, and Nancy Strack of Cincinnati, Ohio; two brothers, Robert Meadors of Pine Knot and Larry Meadors of Columbia, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her parents, Crawford and Georgia Meadors and a sister, Ruby Lois Lay. Funeral services were held Saturday, July 27 at the Jellico Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Herbert Wells and Rev. Doyle Lester officiating. Burial was in the Jellico Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers were Lance Lay, Jr., Josh Lester, Clinton Meadors, Tim Rose, Jason Schroeder and Shanon Strack. Jones & Son Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. |
