Douglas Ray Peace (April 3, 1963 - August 17, 2008) Douglas Ray Peace age 45, of Petersburg, Kentucky, was born on April 3, 1963 in Knox County, Kentucky. He was a son of the late Kermit Peace and Maude Bowlin Peace. Mr. Peace died Sunday, August 17, 2008 in the Knox County Hospital. He was a member of the Belleview Baptist Church in Petersburg, Kentucky. Mr. Peace was owner and operator of Doug's Trucking Company. He united in marriage with Debbie Sue Myrick and to this union a son, Joshua Ray was born. Mr. Peace is survived by his dear son, Joshua Ray Peace, of Petersburg, Kentucky; His Aunts; Janet Miller and Wanda Rhodes of Barbourville; His Uncles; J.W. Bowlin and wife, Myrtle of Barbourville; and Paul Bowlin of Cincinnati, Ohio; He also leaves other dear Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Along with his parents, Mr. Peace was preceded in death by his wife, Debbie Sue Myrick Peace. Funeral Services for Douglas Ray Peace will be conducted at the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel, Sunday, August 24, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Rollin Bradshaw and Rev. Arnold Petrey officiating. Burial will follow in the Williamson Cemetery at Dewitt, with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Friends will be received at the Hopper Funeral Home, Sunday after 12:00 noon until the funeral hour at 3:00 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Hopper Funeral Home |
