Martha HALE PATTERSON

Martha Hale Patterson, age 91, of Bimble, was born on May 7, 1915 at Hales Creek In Knox County. She was a daughter of the late John "Dutch" Hale and Catherine Bargo Hale. Mrs. Patterson died Saturday in the Pineville Community Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility. She was a member of Roadside Baptist Church. On Sept. 23, 1934, she united in marriage to Clarence E. Patterson and to this union five dear children were born. She was preceded in death by a son, John (J.M.) Patterson; one brother and five sisters. She is survived by her loving husband, Clarence E. Patterson of Bimble; children, Kaye Cole and husband Harold of Somerset, Ky., Anna Louise Bays abd husband Jimmy Maurice of Nicholasville, Ky., Mary Burch and husband Bill of Ashland, Ky., Paul Kenneth Patterson and wife Janice of Bimble, Ky.; daughter-in-law, Betty Evans Patterson of Baughman; her dear seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; her sister, Lucy Daniels of Bimble and several beloved nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Patterson were conducted in Hopper Funeral Home Chapel Monday, June 26, 2006 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Sylvester Dunn, Rev. Shelby Money and Rev. Denvil Taylor officiating. Interment was in Barbourville Cemetery with grandsons and nephews serving as pallbearers. Honary pallbearers were Rev. James Mooneyham and all PInveille Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility staff. The Patteson family have requested contributions may be made to the PIneville Skilled Nursing Facility or to the American Cancer Society in loving memory of Martha Hale Patterson. Hopper Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
