RUTH STEWART MIRACLE, 62, of Corbin, the daughter of the late Ottis and Lyda Belle Hubbard Stewart, was born in Clay County on Jan. 18, 1940 and passed away in the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, on Saturday, April 20, 2002. Mrs. Miracle was a member of Poplar Grove Baptist Church, Corbin and a retired librarian. On July 1 1961, she was united in marriage to Mr. Thomas Miracle and to this union three children were born. She is survived by her husband, Mr. Thomas Miracle, Corbin; two daughters, Mrs. Pamela Ann Brooking and husband Barry of Cincinnati, Ohio and Kimberly Ruth Miracle of Chicago, Ill.; one son, Mr. Anthony Joel Miracle and wife Jennifer of Nashville Tenn.; four sisters, Mrs. Margaret Halcomb and husband Robert of Corbin, Mrs. Imogene Burton and husband Glen of Winchester, Jerri Lou Burnett of Dewitt and Mrs. Wanda Davis and husband Billy Ray of Corbin; two grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted in the chapel of the Hampton Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 23, 2002 with the Rev. Ron Edwards and the Rev. Bobby Joe Eaton officiating. Interment was in the Smith Cemetery. Hampton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
