JUANITA HOBBS MILLS, 75, of Barbourville, was born on January 26, 1927 in Knox County, Kentucky, to the late Tipp Hobbs and Patsy Townsley Hobbs. Mrs. Mills died Sunday, May 12, 2002 at the home of her daughter, Sharon Chance at Flat Lick. She was a member of the Coalport Baptist Church. She was a retired factory worker. On October 12, 1943, she united in marriage to John D. Mills. Surviving Mrs. Mills her daughters, Meriam Knuckles and husband Solomon of Flat Lick, Norma Leddington of Barbourville; Sharon Chance of Flat Lick, Cora Mae Asher and husband, Ralph and Peggy Langley and husband Jim, all of Flat Lick; her son, Darrell Mills of Barbourville; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren and three step-great great grandchildren; her sisters Clara Hensley and husband Thomas of Calvin, Kentucky, Mayo Gray of Flat Lick, Carol Hieronymus of McKee, Kentucky and Joan Carmack of Lawrenceburg, Ind.; her brother, Ralph Hobbs and wife Octavia of Bellevue. Funeral services for Juanita Hobbs Mills were conducted in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel, Tuesday, May 14, 2002 with the Rev. Ray West and the Rev. Gene Hubbs officiating. Interment was in the Nelson Gray Cemetery on Sandy Branch, Flat Lick, Kentucky. Hopper Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
