Rose Mae Hamilton Miller
(October 5, 1935 - December 11, 2007)

Rose Mae Hamilton Miller age 72 of Barbourville, passed away on Tuesday December 11, 2007 at her Residence. She was the daughter of the late Ledford and Hester Bays Hamilton. Rose was born on October 5, 1935 at Lay Branch in Knox County. She was a Shipping Supervisor for Polly Flinders Clothing before retiring. She was a member of the New Testment Baptist Church in Newport, Kentucky. On October 2, 1956, she united in marriage with Robert E. Miller. Robert preceded her in death on March 3, 2000. Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, R.L Hamilton, and Winston Reed Hamilton, and a Great Grandson, Jack Robert Brown Jr.

Rose is survived by her daughters, Betty Lou Burnette of Erlanger, Kentucky. Barbara Brown and husband Jack of Artemus. Thelma Collins of Independence, Kentucky and Connie Ball and husband David, of Erlanger, Kentucky. Nine Grandchildren, Shawn Michael, Jack Robert, Andy Wayne, Cindi Rose,James Daniel, Jeremy Franklin, Aaron Scott, Mahala Rain and Halona Lynn; Eight Great Grandchildren, Jose, Austin, Chante, Kelsi, Olivia, Ashley, Isaiah and Shawn; Her brothers, Bill Fred Hamilton, Herman Hamilton, and Roy Hamilton and wife Yvonne all of Jarvis, Kentucky. Ledford Hamilton Jr. and wife Joan of Artemus. Three sisters, Mary Lou Davis of Jarvis, Faye Shelton and husband Charles of Crittenden, Kentucky, and Patsy McFarland of Michigan. Three sisters-in-law, Connie Hamilton of Jarvis. Mary Hamilton of Harrodsburg,Kentucky and Loretta Gentry of London, Kentucky. She also leaves behind many other dear family and friends.

Funeral services for Rose Mae Hamilton Miller will be conducted in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday December 15, 2007 at 2:00pm with Rev. Arnold Petrey and Rev. Jimmie Wayne Miller. Interment will follow in the Burch-Alford Cemetery, with Shawn Burnette, James Brown, Travis McCreary, Dennis Miller, Archie Miller and Aaron Collins serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be, Charles Shelton, Bill Fred Hamilton, Ledford Hamilton, Roy Hamilton, Justice Hamilton and all friends and neighbors The Miller family will receive friends at Hopper Funeral Home on Friday from 6:00pm until 9:00pm, and on Saturday after 10:00am until the funeral hour at 2:00pm. Arrangements are under the direction of Hopper Funeral Home.
