| ROSE ELIZABETH WEST MESSER, 58, of Barbourville, was born on July 8, 1941 at Stearns, Ky., died in the Knox County Hospital on Friday, February 11, 2000. She was the daughter of Dorothy Vickery West and the late Lelian Pershin West. On July 1, 1959, she united in marriage with Curtis Messer. Survivors include her husband, Curtis Messer of Barbourville, her mother, Dorothy wet of Stearns. Funeral services were conducted in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, February 14 at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Sylvester Dunn and the Rev. Alan Mills officiating. Burial followed in the Pine Knott Cemetery in McCreary County. For those who wish, contributions may be made to the kidney, heart or lung foundations in loving memory of Rose Elizabeth West Messer.
