MARGIE MARTIN SHORTER MESSER, 72, of Boone Heights, passed away Monday, January 18, 1999 in the Knox County Hospital. She was the daughter of the late John and Nettie Kinder Shorter. She was a homemaker. On July 31, 1945, she united in marriage with Grant Messer Jr. Survivors include her husband, Grant Messer Jr. of Boone Heights. Funeral services were held in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home on Thursday, January 21 at 2 p.m. with Bro. Gene Greene and Bro. Troy Young officiating. Burial followed in the Barbourville Cemetery. Knox Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
