Rev. Benjamin Preacher Meney, 85, Williamsburg, passed away Sunday morning, October 12, 2003 at his home.

He was pastor of Little Cane Creek Baptist Church until his retirement. He was camp director of Emanuel Bible Camp, Bible teacher to the Whitley County area schools and was a member of the Bible Mountain Mission.

Survivors include his wife, Minnie Meney of Williamsburg; two daughters, Martha Jane Heineman and husband, Louis of Whitley City and Priscilla Ann Meney of North Rim, Arizona; three sons, Benjamin F. Meney Jr. and wife, Barbara of Laurel, Delaware, George Harlow Meney and wife, Michelle of Wilmington, Delaware and Tim Meney and wife, Sue of Kokomo, Indiana; 21 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; also several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral services were held Friday, October 17 at the Briar Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Mitchell and Rev. Tom Bowlin officiating. Burial was in the Briar Creek Church Cemetery.
