Rev. C. G. MARION
Rev. Clyde G. Marion, 74, of Taylor, MI, formerly of Girdler, passed away Monday, November 27, 2006 in the Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, MI. He was a son of the late Walter and Hazel Disney Marion born on March 14, 1932 at Cannon. During his ministry, C. G. served as the pastor of Yeager Scalf Chapel Pentecostal Church, Friendship Holiness Church, 15TH &Perry Free Pentecostal Church of God, Trinity Church of God, Belleville Community Free Pentecostal Church and for the past 15 years, Daniel Full Gospel Church in Taylor, MI. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Alvin Marion. Survivors include his loving wife of 56 years, Dorothy Gregory Marion of Taylor, MI; five children, Dr. William C. Marion and wife, Carol, Donna Marion, Kimberly Addison and husband, Bill, Walter David Marion and Marie Marion all of Taylor, MI; two grandchildren, William C. Marion II and wife, Caroline, of Hixson, TN and Joshua Hatfield of Taylor, MI; two great grandchildren, Anna and Nathan Marion both of Hixson, TN; a brother, Bill Marion of Hinkle; three sisters, Innice Ledford and husband, Jakie, of Barbourville, Anna Owens and husband, Hubert, of Girdler and Eula Faye Ford and husband, Al, of Groveland, FL; and a host of nieces, nephews, other loved ones and dear friends who mourn his passing. His funeral service was conducted at the Scalf Chapel Pentecostal Church at Bimble Sunday, December 3 at 2 P.M. with Dr. William Marion officiating. He was laid to rest in the Bingham Cemetery at Cannon. Casket bearers were family and friends. Local arrangements were under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
