Ollie ABNER LYTTLE

Mrs. Ollie Abner Lyttle, 82, formerly of Heidrick, was born in Clay County, Ky. on January 10, 1924 to the late Sam Abner and Tennie Cottingim Abner, and departed this life on Thursday, August 24, 2006 in the Heritage House in Corbin, Ky. Ollie worked 26 years at Warner�s before retiring. On January 11, 1964, she united in marriage with Rev. Bill Lyttle.

In addition to her parents, her husband: Rev. Bill Lyttle; a stepson: Roger Dale Lyttle; a grandson: Michael Rains; her sisters: Dorothy Lawson, Elsie Abner and Ann Abner; three brothers-in-law: Earl Smith, Arthur Lawson and Lester Abner, preceded her in death.

Mrs. Lyttle is survived by her loving daughters: Brenda Vaughn and husband John, of Taylors, S.C., Dora Sherry and husband Paul of Piqua, Ohio, and Phyllis Goodin and husband Danny of Laura, Ill.; a brother: Homer Abner and wife Estelene of Heidrick, Ky. and Jean Smith of London, Ky. Her 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, loving caregiver Tavia Whitehead and husband Ralph and many other dear relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Ollie Abner Lyttle were conducted in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, August 27, 2006 at 2 p.m. with Dr. John C. Vaughn and Rev. Mike Asher officiating. Burial followed in the Fisher Cemetery with Mike Doolin, Keith Abner, donny Lawson, Kenny Abner, Joe Vaughn and Daniel Vaughn serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Frankie Doolin, Sammie Lawson and Paul Sherry. Hopper Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
